I feel a bit bad about giving an average rating here but 'very good' would definitely be overdoing it.L'Antica Torre looks rather upmarket, as do the prices on the menu but I found the service, the standard of cooking and, indeed, the clientele (including myself) told a different story. Not that any of that was bad. The service was friendly and fairly efficient but very casual (e.g. waiting staff standing around chatting). The food was not excellent but it was good. The ambiance was informal - amongst my fellow diners, there was no sense of a special treat at a fancy restaurant - I guess most of them had just stumbled upon the place, as I had.All of that actually suits me fine. It just wasn't what I expected when looking in from outside. It would probably make more sense if the décor and style of the place matched its ambiance more closely but that's not really important. My real reservation is about the price, for which I would normally expect a really superb meal, rather than just a good one.Notch up the cuisine or notch down the prices and I'd add another star.

It's an italian pizzeria, with a thin and crispy pizza, but there are also a great pasta and "bistecca fiorentina"! the location is easy, in summer you can eat on the nice outdoor terrace. It's so cheap for a so good dinner!enjoy your italian trip!
We went here for dinner and I cannot rate it high enough! We had the September sharing board, followed by pizza and the only problem was that I was so full I couldn't manage any pudding (and they all looked delicious)! Food was incredible, so fresh and super quick (food was out within 5 minutes of ordering). The staff were very attentive and very friendly. It is also very cheap for the standard of food. The board is seasonal and changes each month, and the produce was exquisit. The fried porcini are to die for, and every single bite of food elicited moans! Will definitely be going back for another visit and if you get the opportunity to eat here don't pass it up!

The people were amazing, the service was great the food was delivered straight from heaven, we ended there by mistake hungry looking for a meal and we end up eating there for 4 days straight ... the Antipasto "Taglierone" is 2 levels tray of hams, cheese, salami, and bruschettas of every kind, the real Tuscany kitchen in a friendly place.

The choice between lunch and dinner...do both! The service and the food will have you returning many times. Favio was our waiter several nights and he is great! Try the pizza in the evening. It is the BEST

This is an attractive restaurant with vaulted ceilings and bright décor. The upper floors were thronging and I was shown to the lower floor basement which remained otherwise empty for the entirety of my meal, somewhat diminishing the ambiance. I couldn't help feeling that being a lone diner here gets you tucked out of the way and forgotten. Certainly the slowness of the service would add weight to that theory. On the positive side, what service there was was polite and friendly and the food was fine. Some dishes I would rate good, others average. Nothing either poor or outstanding.I wouldn't hurry back but neither would I object to eating there at a pinch.

When we go out for a meal with the family it is a big part of the day, I am at a loss as to what happened tonight. Rather than complain I would offer the management some advice if they are to continue in this business. Upon arrival, waiter not welcoming & making you feel uneasy, this is the first impression of your business, smile say welcome, how are you etc, we waited 35 minutes to be asked for a drink, seat us and ask us if we would like a drink. The food took a long time & my wife ate alone before other meals came out, serve food together as we are out as a family not individuals. People walked out the restaurant during the evening, this made us feel very uncomfortable, no apologies from staff when it was clear to all what was happening. The management argued in front of all diners, even the Chef came out and had his say. You know deep down what happened tonight, sort yourselves out please for the good of future clients who deserve a smile, great food & drink for their hard earned cash. You unfortunately wonât see us again, very disappointing.Dear Sir,We are really sorry for your complaint and unfortunately we have to admit that last night was a very bad experience for everyone. But, please, let me tell you exactly what happened.unfortunately two waiters did not show up for work and I chef, along with my husband, had to go out to the dining room to serve customers leaving him alone with all the work.reservations have accumulated and the waiter in the room did not have the perception of adequately managing the situation and everything went haywire. The gentlemen with whom you have heard talk have behaved in bad way and offensive for this also my husband had to go out.We have already taken steps to look for new waiters and hope that everything can go as far as normal as possible.we are people who work with passion and honesty but we are human beings and, I am honest, the situation has gone out of control.we do not want you to stay in such a bad experience so we would really like to invite you, at our expense, as our guests, back to our restaurant to show you that the bad experience last night was just a bad accident. Please contact me personally to reserve a table and apologize personally.Greetings, Isabella

First visit. Visited early at 7.30pm which was lucky as fully booked on a Wednesday but they found us a table till 9.30pm. Staff friendly and service to start was quick. We had two antipasto starters, 4 pizzas and drinks for 51 euros.Pizzas were thin and crispy and huge; full of flavour. Sat on the terrace with a lovely view over the rolling hills.Restaurant got very busy indeed so service slowed down as they were overrun, but very popular as food good
