Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Cuenca. Writers and poets have long flourished in arts-oriented Cuenca, the country's third-largest city and the capital of the Azuay province. Cafes and galleries are tucked among the narrow cobblestone streets. The main plaza hosts both the old cathedral, started in 1557, the year the city was founded, and the blue-domed Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, dating to 1885. Locally made Panama hats get top billing at the markets, with centrally located Casa de la Mujer a shopping standout.

Enjoyed the variety of gelato served here. The consistency was perfect-creamy and thick. After stopping in several times for gelato, I decided to try their pizza. There are many different types of pizza available. I had the spinach pie (personal size). I found the pizza a bit too salty and there was too much cheese. There was a generous amount of spinach. The personal size was enough for me. Price was comparable to other pizza places in Cuenca.

Santorinos is a traditional italian cousine we cooked with the finest ingredients,, the food its always cooked with a perfection it always makes you come back for more.... SANTORINOS " FEEL LIKE FAMILY WHILE YOUR HERE "
Had to wait for FORTY minutes for a typical Cuencano dish of pork and accompaniments. What arrived was a small, really tiny piece of pork that was tough as a shoe sole and tasteless. Have never had a smaller or more tasteless piece of pork in Ecuador. There was a huge portion of motte (corn cooked in a special Cuencano way, that was good. The dish was $3-4 more expensive than at Raymipampa, a consistently excellent Ecuadorian restaurant in El Centro. My complaints did not result even in an apology. This is the place I will never return again, even though their pizza, delivered before my dish to the couple who came 20-25 minutes after me, looked pretty good.No surprise the restaurant is always empty, despite its perfect location, next to the excellent art gallery and half a block from the main museum and concert hallThanks for your comment, that make us be better , we always try that our clients have the best experience , we are sorry for the bad experience you had , we are like to invite you to come back and give us chance to give you the best experience . Thanks.

went here for dinner and got a large (US$11) pizza, 1/2 vego, 1/2 pepperoni. Both sides were really tasty, but a special shout-out for the sweet tomato puree used on the pepperoni side. Perfect size to be shared for 2. Also really good Malbec to wash it down with. I also liked that infused oils and herbs were brought to the table to add to the pizza, not that additional flavour was needed. Nice little restaurant and good wifi too.Pizzalacqua staff want to thank you for choosing us and we are very happy to know that you have enjoyed our productos and place. We really appreciate your comment =). See you.

This is definitely one of Cuencaâs finest Italian restaurants. Their pastas are mostly home-made, which if youâve never had home-made, you canât possibly understand how much better that is than store bought! Itâs a cozy place, but large enough for a bigger crowd of folks. Love the pumpkin ravioli! But WHOA, the calories.

My sister and I were doing a little exploring and looking for coffee when we found Marea. We were warmly welcomed and served delicious coffees. We liked the ambiance and friendly staff so much that we returned that night for dinner. We were served a freshly baked warm bread to eat while we waited for the main course. The bread was accompanied by three different dips. Our favorite was the mayonnaise/garlic/parsley dip. I'm not a pizza person, but I loved their pizza! We got half mozzarella and ham and the other half tomato, garlic, and basil. Delicious wood-fired pizza, absolutely incredible! If you find yourself in Cuenca, do yourself a favor and stop here. They also serve Argentinian empanadas! This great opinion gives us the satisfaction to work and commit ourselves with service, quality and providing to all of you dear friends the best experience!! Thanks a lot!! Happy holidays and a New Year!Marea Staff

I ordered a quattro stagioni pizza. My friend specified I wanted the crust crispy. I have to say the toppings were really generous, flavorful and satisfying. However, the crust was limp, not at all close to crispy. It could be my friend's Spanish is not quite as good as she thinks or the waiter forgot to pass it on to the kitchen staff. I did enjoy the pizza, but it was not one of the best in Cuenca. One friend ordered spaghetti carbonara. It looked un-decorated. Though he said it was tasty, he regretted not ordering something else. The other friend had some sort of a salad that was brimming with toppings. It looked incredible and a taste testing proved it was.

From the decor to the food. The place is clean and the service is top notch (especially for Ecuador). The place was busy and we still received our food in a very reasonable time. All dishes were great. The bill was very fair as well. We will definitely go back.

Now they serve some of the best pizzas in Cuenca for very reasonable prices. They also serve primo hamburgers, Greek and Caesar salads, eggplant parmesan, and much more.
