We like this place. Good pizza. Fresh ingredients. But on our most recent visit the music was very very loud. Wouldn't be that big a deal except you need to speak with about six different people to complete your order. Slowed the ordering process and made dining uncomfortable

We liked the friendly servers, the broad menu, and the reasonable wine list. The gorgonzola salad was good, but it was downhill from there. The individual pizza, served on a plastic plate, was thin and oily, the calzone was average, the pasta dishes were ok.I started the meal really wanting this to become a new favorite, but at the end Iâm not sure I would go back again. It was all ok, but just average, not something special we thought.
Waited a long time for them to open, the wait was worth it. Had their food at there Kenilworth location also very good. I think they will give other pizza places a run for their money.

I'm SUPER picky with food and especially pizza. If I'm going to have some- it has to be amazing. the staff here are so friendly and accommodating - always ask to cut slices in half). place is always locally packed by sports teams and locals. great stuffed spinach slice, "grandma slice, white... pretty much a fan of all.

From the warm welcome we received upon walking into the restaurant, to the excellent and attentive service we had throughout our meal, and of course the fantastic authentic Italian food we had the pleasure of enjoying, our experience was top drawer. Both me and my girlfriend had a great meal at Bel Giardino, the food was excellent and upon meeting the head chef it was easy to see why. He was a true Italian and his love for the food he cooked shone through in the meals we enjoyed. The owner as well made a point of talking to all his guests throughout the evening and ensured that nothing was missing. Next time I am in Cranford I will be heading here again without a shadow of a doubt.

Bottom Line: This is a pizzeria / restaurant. Itâs a BYOB to boot. Plenty of locals dining here on a Friday early evening. Pizza appetizer, Veal / Eggplant Parmagiana, Veal Milanese Sandwich (without the breadâ¦I love my wife), and an Iced Tea. $40. Ehâ¦the pizza is delicious. Maybe come here, but adjust your expectations accordingly, if youâre diving deeper into the menu.Came here on a Friday night (thatâs 6pm, for us old folks). Glad we got there when we did, as the 10 or so tables in this streetfront corner eatery were packed by the time our entrees arrived. I was determined to have pizza. I donât eat pizza often. Iâm pretty picky. I donât like super thin crust, nor do I like a thick and doughy crust (except in the event of a Sicilian pie, but thatâs another matter altogether). Scatturoâs crust fell delightfully in the middle, and this may actually be my next âgo toâ pizza shop. They run a little light on the sauce, which is fine for me. Iâm a big fan of cheese, so when a crispy, cheesy, but not so saucy, slice arrived at the table, I was happy. But this is a Pizzeria / Caféâ¦Scatturoâs is clearly a family owned local business. Two waitresses, all clad in their best black leggings and tshirts; the owner, behind a cramped counter, white tee, capturing the abdominal curves of a culinary life well-lived, dusted with the dayâs work, a combo of flour and semolina. This isnât Dominoâs. This is the culmination of years of plating the classics. A genuine and authentic Italian Pizzeria. I like that. There are three or four other line staffâitâs kind of a circuitous line, kind of like ants on a hill, sometimes crawling onto each other, but they all know where theyâre going. Theyâve been doing this for awhile. The owner knew practically everyone in the joint, and visited most of them for a quick chat. Nice. So, the food. Iâm a sucker for Eggplant Parmigiana. Cheese and sauce, melded together into that fried eggplant. Itâs like a happy family, all sitting on the couch, watching TV. The eggplant is cuddled up next to the sauce. Theyâve all warm and cozy under an afghan of cheese. Everybodyâs happy. Now, invite your friend veal to join you on the couch? Iâm in. My mother (God bless her soul and I miss her) made an awesome âcutletâ. She would take a bottom round roast beef, throw it into the freezer for just the right amount of time to be able to cut thin slices and sauté them in a pan after a simple flour, egg, and breadcrumb. Delicious. The intent was to slice the beef thin enough to quickly fry to a tender crisp. Iâm not sure what the intent was with Scatturoâs Veal and Eggplant Parmigiana. It was big. Probably too big for most people to eat. Certainly too big for me, and Iâm packing 260 (I lost five lbs.). But big isnât always better. I get it. People see big and they see value. All the pseudo-Italian themed chains send you home with another entrée, after youâve already eaten. Thatâs kooky, but thatâs the trend. The bottom line is that if you gave me one or two scallopine of a higher quality, instead of four, my guess is I wouldnât have needed a reciprocating saw to hack through my meal. I get it. Come here for the meals that make you happy. Simple pasta. Chicken Parmigiana. Pizza. Scatturoâs is a Pizzeria / Café. I will not judge it on the same standard as other Trattoria or Italian restaurants. I couldnât help but think though, as I stared at my plate-sized portion of âvealâ (was it really?), if my mother stepped forward for a visit. Iâll definitely come back for the pizza. Iâll skip the veal, and as you know, Iâm a sucker for that eggplant. Adjust your expectations, and join me on the couch (once again, itâs a metaphorical couch, not a real one. They donât have couches here)

Went to Brooklyn Pizza, Sonny G's predecessor years ago and was underwhelmed to the point of not giving it a second try. My wife was hankering for pizza on Saturday night and I suggested this place since management had changed. What a difference. Service was great, salads were very tasty and the pizza was a winner. An excellent re-discovery...

Went here on a recent Saturday night around 9pm and we were one of two tables in the dining room that were occupied. The staff were milling around towards the kitchen ignoring us which is a sure sign of poor training and no oversight. I finally had to yell (literally) for help and that should never be the case. I understand this may be the first job for many of these kids but they should be taught to always look out to the customers and not chit-chat or check their phones to a point of distraction. Prices a bit too high for pizza and certainly no redeeming qualities that would bring me back here.

Great pizza, great value, fast delivery! Have eaten at the restaurant and ordered delivery many times and the food is fresh and delicious. My kids prefer a plain cheese pizza so that's what we usually order, but my husband loves the wings and the kids love their fried calamari as well. Definitely a great local choice for pizza & other Italian dishes!
