The farther you get away from New York and New Haven, the scarier pizza can become (not always....I said 'can come'...so relax). This place is an exception. The pizza here is wonderful....if you like Greek style (which I do). Nice crust, on the thick side but still crunchy. Great toppings and cheese. Real sausage and nice quality pepperoni. And get a salad while you're at it....they're huge!!! We did takeout but the place is about as typical as you can get...cozy, warm and, well, just a neighborhood pizza place. The staff at the register at least were incredibly nice too. Check it out. Can't wait to go back.

We went there for lunch as there were great reviews. There was a large dining room to escape the heat. The food was delicious and the portions enormous-we ate our lunch for dinner also. Loved the bread, the salad and the entrees. Had great food for my vegetarian son, would very much recommend and come back when in the area!!!

Our take-out experience included two pizzasâ One large cheese and one small sausage/meatballs/onion. First off, the call in to give the order and the pick up was in very little time â â that had impressed me from the start. The second stand out was the crust â â crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with the proportion of crust-to-the-remaining ingredients being perfect, not too much or too little. The sauce was lightly seasoned, not overwhelming, but with just the right sweetness to make it exceptional. The remaining ingredients were fresh and again well proportioned. I was extremely impressed and although I have to travel quite a bit myself to get there, I wholly intend to do so in the near future

Had dinner here one evening: food was very good and wait staff helpful and friendly, but most favorable review is for the grinders we ordered for take out on another day. Ours were a typical Italian grinder with ample amount of meat & cheese and nicely toasted. They were excellent and highly recommend them.

If you are on the shoreline and are looking for excellent pizza and stuffed bread Nick's is it! The sauce flavor on the pizza is amazing! I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered delivery and the food came quick and was hot. We ordered our crust 'crispy' and it was perfect!!! Our local pizza place we have gone to for years is so busy now that we receive our toppings slopped in the middle of the pizza and the crust soggy in the middle. We decided to try Nick's as it is under new Management and we are hooked!!! There are no tables for inside seating but there is delivery and pick up. Management told us they will be adding tables soon. Either way, a must try!

This simple "hole in the wall" pizza place is a favorite local neighborhood dine for excellent thin crust pizza - great sauce - just an appropriate amount of cheese for those who are pizza "officianados" who like balance of sauce and cheese. Suggest to go or order delivery after 6 when the ovens are hot and pizza is done with a decent crust and crispy. Nothing fancy but good quality and great prices. The neighborhood loves it!

Had a couple of friends over - and we wanted pizza. Being new to the areaâ I decided to give Palmieri pizza a try. Well we were very glad I did. We ordered a medium sausage and roasted peppers. It was like a large pizza. Thin crust - but not too thin - and not burnt on the bottom like some places do. But cooked just right. Itâs a small restaurant - in Clinton-with ample parking -about a mile from Hammanassett state park Pizza was ready in 15 mins We thoroughly enjoyed it. And had a couple pieces left for tomorrow to snack on Definitely going back there again. Canât wait to try some other menu items and some different toppings on more pizzas in the near future !

After many different incarnations at this location, finally one has made it! Cute and homey atmosphere. Delicious bread (home baked, I imagine). Extensive menu and nightly specials. The food is well-prepared and plated. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Servings are ample, and leftovers are great to take home. Great place for great food.

We stopped in for a quick bite on a chilly Friday evening while passing through the area. Honestly we didn't expect much, but we were treated to a wonderful dinner! At 5pm, the dining area was empty. Minutes after we sat, the room was packed! At that point, we knew we were in for a treat. The pizza (we ordered a large bacon and onion) was very, very good! And the calzone was enormous. And delicious! Friendly service, family feeling. Completely grand all around.

Chow!!!!This place is awesome. Iâve heard about it. Iâve driven by it and today was the day to try it. Definitely stood up to the word going around town on how this little resturant is rocking the food waves. The wonton and burnt end apps... delish. Half rack of dry rub ribs with Brussel sprouts... delish. Oh yea, they also produce some pretty good looking pizza pie. Weâll try that next time. Parking, indoor and outdoors seating. Bar seating. To go orders seemed to be slamming busy. So, Iâd say give Chow a try either eat in or take out.
