Hello English speakers, I wanted to share this pearl in the hills with you. This is traditional Italian kitchen.Simple, in terms of everything, food, choice, service, atmosphere, ... but good. Simple but good, what else could you wish for, and not expensive at all.The pizza's made in a wood heated oven, are traditional Italian style and taste good. The tagliata con funghi porcini was very good, I've tasted it better but not at this price. So this is absolutely fine. The pasta called "cortecce" was very special, really original. The antipasto della casa is very tasty and a must have for people who like sliced salami etc. It comes with vegetables preserved in oil.The mix of braised meat was again very good and tasty. The parmigiana di melanzane as a side dish was good too.The red house wine is perfectly drinkable and quite strong.Overall, just good. Q/P ratio is excellent. The place in in the hills and several kilometers drive on a small road. The view from the terrace of the restaurant is spectacular.Service is fast and attentive, although the place was full. But they have a lot of personnel for the service, to take care of the significant number of local customers. Mainly locals.Taken into account the number of customers I imagine that parking could, at times, be a problem? This is a place to take your family and/or friends. As I said, simple but good!Fully agree to the Tripadvisor classification this place has got! This is highly recommended.

This is, without doubt, the best meal we have eaten in Italy and I am only sorry it has taken me so long to write this review. We stopped off here on our return journey from Calabria to Rome last summer and were so pleased we found this place. The owners, Antoni and his wife, were so welcoming. He spoke to us at length about the menu and the influences on his food, having lived in the UK he could also speak English which meant we got to know so much more about the way they source and create their food. They made amazing looking pizza and many of the locals were choosing these but my husband chose the T-bone steak and I had a vegetarian pasta dish which was amazing. The steak too was delicious and there were touches of their time in the UK on the menu which enhanced the experience. It's a rustic kind of place but with high quality ingredients and a real focus on local produce, Antoni told us all about the food they grow themselves as well as where he sources other ingredients. To add to the experience he also took us on a tour of the property and to see the balsamic vinegar being aged in oak barrels; we had this on a salad and it was sensational. We are clinging on to the last drips that we bought from him. The wine was home made and delicious. It was a fantastic way to end our holiday and we were only sorry not to be spending more time in the area so that we could have eaten there again. I really hope their family have continued success at this place, they definitely deserve it. We're contemplating a return journey just to eat there! We even got tips on local tourist attractions which we would never have known about and an invite to come back the next day to watch the bread making process! Finally, we followed this place on Sat nav which wasn't great, it's easily accessible on the road which leads up from the motorway to the old town but far better to ask a local even with our very limited Italian.

Consigliato.

If you have the means and youâre visiting Paestum then this is definitely a place to seek out. Had great pizza here (and Iâm not normally a fan) and the staff/owner were very welcoming. Visited off season and it was quiet but it is on a busy road. Would definitely visit again.

The first impression of the service was good. The waiter explained the special for the day: A whole lobster with pasta and a salt baked sea bass. This sounded delicious, so this was ordered. While waiting I saw several times where the waiters were unsure where to go, and one waiter tried to serve me ham and melon. After the very delicious meal I asked for coffee and grappa. When the waiter placed it on the table, he was busy talking to other people and looking away from the table. This is not acceptable at a restaurant where you pay 20 EUR for both first and second course.Everything else was excellent.

Traveling with my family to Petina and ran into no pizza ovens running. A short trip this this restaurant was WELL WORTH the effort. We were greeted by friendly staff who asked if we had reservations...we didnât...but we were thankfully seated knowing the table was reserved for another in 30 minutes. My hungry family was glad to sit down and we enjoyed some of the BEST pizza weâve had in all of Italy. It came fast and it was amazing!!! Highly recommended pizzeria!!! Make a reservation and enjoy it longer than we could. If we had more time here, weâd be back!!!!Thanks youI Hope see u again for another pizza
