Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Catania. Catania has been a prize of many empires over the centuries, from Greeks to Romans to Arabs to Normans to Spaniards (to name a few). But its citizens have a more dangerous enemy right in their backyard—Mount Etna, Europe's largest and most active volcano, which destroyed the city with earthquakes and lava flows in 1693. Look closely at the baroque buildings dating from after the eruption—you'll notice a creative use of lava.

In the last 10 days this was absolutely the best pizza Iâve had in Sicily . If you are reading this and in another restaurant than get up and run because you are in the wrong place . Everyone should have great pizza you would think since we are in Italy . Not true but here they make the exception.

This close to our hotel who recommended it, and we ended up here three times. A very unassuming place frequented by the locals and for good reason. Excellent food and friendly service.Wine list is tiny but a good fish selection, and great pizzas. Gets very busy on a Friday so get there before 8 for a table.

Visited for lunch and ordered a calamari fritti for starter and four plates of pasta to follow (one vongole, two frutti di mare, one norma). Were given four pieces of bruschetta and complimentary bread. The calamari were good.My husband did not like the tomato sauce in the pasta Norma but maybe this is the way it is done in Sicily. My vongole pasta was good, though the sauce was a bit too runny and oily, wish the pasta was tossed in a bit earlier so it would have amalgamated with the sauce better. The portions are very abundant and prices reasonable.

staff was very gentle but we found the food didn't worth the price we paid. Above all, we think that paying 6 euro for a beer was too much and there was no menu for the drinks so that we could know in advance. Unfortunately after more than a week in Sicily we found out that it is very difficult to find a place that serves well cooked authentic sicilian food that is worth trying and paying for.

Great fresh flatbread pizzas for less than 8 Euro each!!! The restuarant is right on the street and was empty at night (it is near our hotel). So after a long day we took a risk and tried it - well worth it!

Freshly caught and grilled sea-bream is hard to beat, my daughter had the black gnocchi, I the fish, and with two glasses of excellent Cal. Poggio di Venere Grillo, we were more than happy. The decor is completely kitsch, but the staff are friendly, the service impeccable. Will certainly return!

My husband and I visited Le Quinte after reading great reviews on this site. We were not disappointed! Iâm a native New Yorker and Iâll admit Iâm a pizza snob, so my standards or very high. The staff at Le Quinte were welcoming and took time to explain the menu when we had questions (their English is quite good). We started with the cutting board, a great selection of meats and cheeses with freshly baked focaccia. Then we each ordered a pizza since we couldnât agree on one, and thereâs such a variety on the menu. We could not finish even half but we were glad to have leftovers for the next day. I think itâs safe to say that any pizza on the menu would be excellent. I highly recommend Le Quinte!Dear 555lesleyg,thank you for your review. We would like to thank you for your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you provided to make improvements to ensure we offer an exceptional experience for our guest in the future.

A very nice place being little hidden in a narrow street just few steps from the principal Via Etnea. A pleasant bright interior and friendly staff invited to enter Blanc a Manger Restaurant. We got delicious Salmon salads and finished with splendid espresso.
