I've been to Al Vicinato several times and I can't get enough. As far as Pizzerias go, you can't get better than this. Classic Italian style pizza, with simple and fresh ingredients, at affordable prices. Bottled or house wine is of also of great quality at reasonable prices. The service is also outstanding. You won't be disappointed.

Off the normal tourist trail, this is a family run pizzeria that fills up with the buzz of families and friends. The menu is huge and the food is lovely; but what makes it good is the atmosphere - no fuss, no frills, just good food and very friendly people. We always go when visiting friends in Pisciarelli.

We had lunch and evening meal here, both excellent, you simply decide how big a piece of each pizza you want and they cut it off with a pair of scissors and then put it in the pizza oven for a few minutes, it was the best pizza I have ever eaten with lots of choice. You can take away cold and heat yourself if you don't want it hotGrazie! Per noi è stato veramente bello conoscervi. Un abbraccio e se ripassate da queste parti sarà sempre un piacere parlare inglese con voi Eleonora

Great mixed grills and strange but good mix of sea food and pistachio.Big portions and very tasty. Good wine and a big restaurant with full prosciutti on show that is hand cut to order. Nice wine and service. Their "free" bread that's on the table is very good and fresh.Dogs are allowed, toilet could of been cleaner but overall great experience. Around â¬80 for 4 people (only one main each and a bottle of wine)

We are here tonight out of lack of options. We were having trouble finding an open restaurant on a Monday night. We were staying about 25km away and drove up to visit a neighboring restaurant in Canale Montenaro which unfortunately was closed. As we were hungry and this place was open we gave it a shot. WORST MEAL ON OUR ITALIAN VACATION! The pizza was unseasoned and almost undercooked with little flavour. Pasta was close to inedible. The ragu sauce had more cartilage than meat and tasted like pepper, the fettuchini was mixed with linguini and tasted like canned mushroom soup. Service was slow, especially since there were only 3 tables seated icluding us. Not sure if the cook took the night off given all the 5* reviews but our meal was horrible.

We found this trattoria by chance after a delightful visit to the Riserva Naturale at Canale Monterano - including a wander round the old abandoned town of 17th century ruins with Etruscan foundations - fascinating and atmospheric. Very welcoming simple restaurant, lovely colourful plate of antipasti di terra, followed by excellent home-made ravioli with ricotta, porcini and walnuts - delicious. With a jug of cold wine, a simple salad, a plate of water melon and coffee we paid just 38 euro for 2. La Tavernetta restored our faith in good food for good prices even in the tourist season not far from Rome. Tante grazie!

Amazing food, wine, staff, location... all this at good value. Hand made pasta and familiar atmosphere.

The restaurant looks just up to "ok", some of the chair covers were stained. The waiters were unhelpful and clumsy. We were not offered a taste of the wine (which is a normal standard) and the bottle was just left on the table. The starters:Antipasto di terra consisted solely of few cured meat slices and a chilly jam to pair with god knows what. The sauteed mussels were just not fresh. The Mains:Fried shrimps were apparently good.Fried lake fish was horrible, if you know the different species you would have realized that two out of three were not what was written on the menu. The lowest bit was the batter, bright yellow, tasted like frittata, IF and I say IF it was handmade I heavily question by who and what training he/she has on cooking. We have never been asked if the food was ok.The prices are absolutely stellar high compared to what is served.Though but absolutely accurate.
