This is by far the best pizza in metro Detroit area. Been coming here since 1982. It does get very busy on wknd nights, but worth it. A must when in Madison Hts, Michigan. When Iâm not out here, I will visit the one in Clinton Twp.

Our kids wanted us to try Detroit style pizza while we were in town, so they ordered up some Buddy's takeout. It was excellent! Detroit style turns out to be square pizza slices, with cheese going right to the edges - and it's thick. Needless to say, we loved it and it did not take much to get full!Stanley, thank you for your positive review. We have ordered from here on several occasions. Food and service never disappoint. Pizza is very good, so are the salads and Howie rolls. Service is prompt. Staff are very nice, courteous and professional. When it comes to Hungry Howie's pizza, I prefer original round over deep dish, so I just stick to it. This place offers pick up or delivery.

Located in the lively downtown city of Royal Oak, this restaurant/bar serves typical American fare- hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, fish & chips, & pizza. I had the fish & chips, & my girlfriend had a salad. Both were okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. Drinks (wine) were generous, staff was friendly. In fairness, we found out from a family member after our visit that this restaurant is known for their great pizza, so we will return soon to check it out. Reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere.

A great selection for people out of town. It has a very welcoming vibe and a small town feel. It is a great restaurant to start drinking at before a night out in royal oak or to end a night of drinking either way it should be a stop for any royal oak visit.

How can one complain when you go up to the drive-thru window or to the counter and order up a $5 pizza. It's by no means swanky gourmet. The ingredients are decent but nothing over-the-top. But I'll give it up to these fine folks as they're super friendly, quick and for the value? How can you beat it? You know what you're gonna get here. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. It's a $5 pizza. Want something better? There are plenty of alternatives just up the block from this place, but this is always a classic stand-by that I grew up on.

This pizza is great. Love the dough, love the sauce, the burnt edges of the deep dish square pizza. Wish we had a place half as good in San Antonio. Every time we come to Berkley to visit my brother we get Chicken Shack and Uncle Andy's Pizza (take out).

We order almost weekly and usually get a large, thin crust pizza. Love it, but have to remember to ask for "traditional cut" or else it will be cut in little squares, supposedly by coporate edict. Strange, but they are good about honoring this request. We really like the flavor of their pizza and their prices are very good.

We have heard good reviews but we're very disappointed in the atmosphere and overall attitude of the wait staff. We entered and approached what we thought was the hostess area only to be totally ignored by several passing staff. We finally stopped one who literally shouted as she passed "there's a wait for the patio". We stopped another person and explained we would sit inside. She gave us menus and said, "there is no hostess - I don't know why they don't explain that to youâ¦" We seated ourselves and then had to ask again to be served. Only 2 things save this review : 1 the pizza was awesome and 2 the kitchen staff actually came out to acknowledge and assure us that the gluten free pizza I ordered was being handled properly-no cross contamination! Hope this helps someone!

Nice restaurant, it has two areas, one which is self order and cafeteria style. The other section is a full service restaurant with a full bar. The wait staff was very attentive, courteous and aimed to please!Our waiter was great and made our night enjoyable!The food was delicious, My husband and I split the spaghetti and meat balls. Delicious but the meat balls are quite spicy! One friend ordered a personal pizza and said it was outstanding. Another ordered the salmon sandwich which came with potato chips, the salmon was perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if youâre in Berkeley, Michigan.
