This restaurant was next to our hotel Victor. Passed it a couple of times seemed empty but we ventured in and glad we did .A very helpful waiter helped us choose on my struggling Italian. We tried the mixed antipasto all local and very tasty .A fried calzone was different but we shared with a normal calzone. The house wine was very good and although midweek was quiet we returned nearer the weekend for a another delightful meal .Give it a try .

he elegant and well-balanced Giampaolo Restaurant was brought to life by the tradition and innate passion of the De Tullio family for the culinary art. The classical Apulian tufa stone and the smart design contribute to the background of the cuisine where
We were recommended this seafood restaurant by our b&b host, and suggested we book being a Thursday night. There is a hotel next door and it looked like 1/2 of them were in here, place seats 150-200pax apparently..The service was good ( although the wife speaks/is Italian which helped) the food a little dated in presentation & style.. the decor very modern..The bill 88:50⬠so not to bad considering 2/3rds of that was mine as the wife was on a diet.. she ordered mixed salad and salmon tartare and bottle of water so her part was 23⬠off bill...All in all an average meal for our first nights holiday, nothing overly to complain about. Just not what I expected...

A clever blend of classic and modern interior design, glowing with warm soft lighting, gives the place the romantic and refined atmosphere that blends so well with the quality of additional home cooking offered to customers in our lovely restaurant. The v
Five of us met for lunch. Four kinds of pasta with seafood, all superb. One had dried tomato pasta with shrimp and zuchinni. Ere are many different pasta dishes, plus meat and fish main courses. Drank a frizzante chardonnay made locally. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I recommed this strongly, but it is our only Bari dining experience, so I cannot make comparisons. Molto gentili nell'aver tradotto in recensione quello che avete gustato al mio ristorante. Alla vostra simpatia. Grazie mille

First: very good for its type. Average ++ on a global scale. We were two guys and we came half an hour earlier compared to our original booking. The waiter was stressed, but he never lost his friendliness and fixed a table for us. This in spite of the fact the place was already full and a lot of their "dehores"was half occupied by a construction site. So, my respect and compliments to him. The overall service experience was very much "family like" and down to earth, but very attentive and professional in its own way.We had selected antipasti (the complete set is know to be fabulous and endless). Everything was very tasty and of very nice quality (stracciatella, ciccio with rape, mini-meatballs= polpettine). We had the very popular Peroni beer in the 0.66 L bottle. Served ice cold, with chilled glasses. Can't ask for more. But here comes the real reason I am writing this review and the reason I am doing it it English: "spaghetti all'assassina". I loved them, but I am warning the reader that this might be an acquired taste. I would like to prepare you, so you know what to expect and decide if you want to enjoy it!Spaghetti all'assassina is a family dish of re-heated spaghetti, with a little bit of fresh cherry tomato, tomato sauce, oil and bread crumbs. Perhaps a bit of chili. They are re-heated really hard, so some get almost crunchy. They are quite dry and extremely flavorful and they remind me reheated pasta from home. At "La Super Pizza" they are served in generous amount and I loved them. However, if you are a non-italian and you have a taste for creamy or very "juicy" sauces this might not be the dish for you.We got two very fresh pastries on the house together with our spirits at the end of the meal and the bill was perfectly reasonable. In conclusion: if you like what I wrote, the place is recommended. It will not be a mistake.

Ate here with 7 friends. We all had starters to share, pizzas and beers and then dessert. All the food was fantastic and the entire bill came to less than â¬100!The pizza is simply outstanding, better than pizza Iâve had in Napoli. So many options to try you could eat a different pizza every night for a month!

The place is very popular and therefore crowded. So reservation is a must in my opinion. The service is really impressive and fast. I don't remember a moment of waiting for something - the waitress is always here and there, taking care of all the tables without you even notice it. Bravo! The food is really good, and we ate, we ate, and we ate some more (come to think of it we sat there for about 4-5 hours without even noticing it, there was always food on our table) and we paid almost "nothing". What you get for what you pay is amazing.People are very nice and friendly. And if you are looking for a place to eat late (from what I saw usually the kitchen closes aroung 10PM in most places in Bari) this is definitely the place to dine. This is a great place to celebrate something with friends, eat late at night, eat good food at a great value.

We were 8 people, after visiting for 4 days in the Bari Puglia region, where we tested every recommendation from our research and friendsâ suggestions. So on our last few hours, on our way to the airport to return the rental cars, we stopped at âIl Grottinoâ, and it was a feast. They open every day at 18:00 and close at 00:00. As we arrived at about 17:50, the owner made sure to serve us drinks and prepare 3 tables connected to each-other so we can all be seated in one place. Then the pizzas started to come to the table: zuchinni, diabolo, salami, even Nutella! There is no doubt this is the pizzagasm place on Bari. Whatever you do you MUST go here if youâre in Bari.Let me know if you liked it!

Excellent concept for fast food. Fresh products, quick service, great prices. Nice beer on tap. Even their olive oil is Organic and excellent. Lunch for two 20â¬.I save 5 stars for exceptional places with exceptional dishes. Someone wrote this concept could be franchised. Impossible to have these ingredients in other regions. This concept should however be copied!
