Composed by about 30 musicians aged between 13 and 46 years old, the Madeira Mandolin Orchestra was founded in 1913, being recognized as the oldest and youngest Mandolin Orchestra in Europe, due to the age of its foundation and the ages of its performers. A distinction of relevance in a region of excellence within the European community. Annually, the Orchestra performs about forty concerts, with a classical music programs adapted to the mandolin of the great and renowned classical composers such as Mozart, Strauss, Vivaldi, Ketèlbey, Monti, Waldteufel, among others. The artistic season is organized by Weekly Concerts and Special Concerts, which have been developed over the past 25 years. In this period of time, the Madeira Mandolin Orchestra had performed on about 500 concerts, both locally and internationally.

Fado Com Historia, is a Touristical Attraction in Tavira. Located in the historical area of ​​the beautiful city of Tavira, right next to Misericordia Church, there's 'Fado com Historia' auditorium in which we perform daily fado shows Monday to Saturday. It is a stylish place with capacity for over 40 people, equipped with a video system and a real Fado atmosphere. Fado music is UNESCO's Intangible Heritage of Humanity since 2011. In this venue you can enjoy a 45 minute live show with Portuguese Guitar, Classical Guitar and Voice, performing some of the most representative Fados, chosen from our vast repertoire, and adapted to the audience. We have also 'merchandise' that the visitor can acquire a multimedia presentation that illustrates some of the most emblematic moments and images of Fado Music.
