Discover a whole new world at ALADDIN, the hit Broadway musical. From the producer of The Lion King comes the timeless story of Aladdin, a thrilling new production filled with unforgettable beauty, magic, comedy and breathtaking spectacle. It's an extraordinary theatrical event where one lamp and three wishes make the possibilities infinite. See why audiences and critics agree, ALADDIN is "Exactly What You Wished For!" (NBC-TV)
Saw Aladdin on Broadway and was NOT disappointed! While all the characters/actors were spot-on, Genie was by far the show/scene-stealer!! He was funny, quick, talented and his voice was incredible! This was my 7yr-old daughter’s (and husband’s for that matter) 2nd Broadway show (saw Frozen last summer) and Aladdin was just as magical (I mean there’s an actual FLYING CARPET) and just as memorable!!!

Theatre Row is an Off-Broadway multi-theater complex in the heart of the Theater District that serves as an affordable home for performing artist organizations, and a lively, accessible venue for diverse audiences. Located just two blocks from Times Square, Theatre Row offers theater rentals, rehearsal studio rentals, office space, ticketing and box office, as well as tech support to actors, producers, dancers, and musicians. Theatre Row encourages its varied mix of nonprofit theater companies to share ideas and resources as they work in its intimate spaces. Theatre Row is a program of non-profit Building for the Arts NY, Inc.
I have been to 3 plays at Theatre Row, and would recommend this venue as an alternative to much more expensive Broadway plays. Several plays are running at the same venue at any given time. It is a more intimate setting, so any seat is a good one. Most recently we saw "A Brand New World" which ran only for 3 days, but was an excellent production by a group of up-and-coming actors supported by some more seasoned professionals. The story and music were original and very well done. We have also seen two of the plays based on the life and work of C.S.Lewis.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is one Broadway play presented in two parts. Both parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings.
I titled this the way I did because the choice to see Harry Potter was my wife's. I just wanted to see a Broadway Show. Am I glad we did and am I glad she chose Harry Potter. Wow! The show was fantastic and the Lyric theatre and staff was marvelous. Good seats on Broadway can be expensive. We had good seats in the first balcony and paid $150 per. Still, if visiting New York, a absolute must.

Out of the three Disney musicals out there right now we saw two almost back to back, and there certainly are similarities. The level of production in a Disney show is over the top: costumes, settings, and special effects galore. The music is the Disney score you love, plus some. The cast is some of the most talented Broadway has. The content is for the whole family, which is Disney canon. The difference, I would say, between Aladdin and Lion King is the mood. While Lion King is reverent, a delving into a foreign culture full of exotic chanting and stunning costumes/marionettes, Aladdin’s approach is more lighthearted. The costumes and settings are exotic, and the fireworks and special effects are proprietary to the musical, but I could easily say I laughed WAY more with Aladdin. It’s not a remake of the movie (none of them are, don’t expect that), it’s another take on the classics, with new songs, and an immersive experience. It was great to see Jonathan Freeman, the original Jafar, on stage. His voice is unmistakeable, and gives the classic Villain 30 years of experience. The New Amsterdam is a larger venue, so seats up front here really make a difference. Performance is timely, once you have your tickets make sure you arrive on time and have two hours to enjoy the performance.
