Booked a 2 hour painting session for 3 of us via Facebook. Choose our own pieces to paint from a well stocked range so you make the day as cheap or expense as you like. There are also many painted items around to help you with some inspiration. Owners are extremely welcoming and very helpful and gave loads of hints and tips. We had never done this before and loved it. Even if it's at the end of your stay, you can have your piece(s) posted to you once is been fired. Cannot wait for ours to arrive in the post.

Ceramics painting, cafe and gift shop.
We have been many times to Cwtch Ceramics within Ty Pawb and it’s always the most amazing and magical experience. Julie always makes everyone feel welcome and not bad for a cheeky cake or two!

We took our son to Tan y Draigg for the second year running for his birthday party, as he and his guests had such fun last year. The staff are super helpful and great with the kids and the pottery painting activity is certainly a change-up from the usual bouncy castle + general mayhem. The food provided as part of the party package was good and nutritious, with minimum junk. A great time was had by all, similar to last year and I would definitely recommend this venue if you're looking for something different to do as a birthday activity.

Hi, I'm Steve who has a passion for teaching clay experiences particularly throwing and decorating using traditional Japanese methods. My new workshop opened in 2020 taking small groups for tasters or more regular pottery experiences. Raku experiences are also offered in the summer months.
