Top 10 Paint & Pottery Studios in Florence, Tuscany

December 7, 2021 Cedrick Jardin

Florence is an art historian’s dream. The Galleria dell'Accademia bursts with works by Michelangelo, who is entombed within the frescoed walls of the Basilica di Santa Croce. Budding photographers can snap pics of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, and serious shoppers can spend a blissful afternoon wandering the shops of Piazza Santo Spirito. Tuscan cuisine pays homage to the region’s bounty. Swipe a hunk of crusty bread across a pool of local olive oil and you’ll be instantly transported to your happiest place.

I was in Florence with my husband for a conference. I saw this 3 hour painting session and thought i would give it a try. I haven't painted for a long time and wanted to get back into it. As soon as Frank met me at the door and Laura welcomed me while she finished the class before mine, I was hooked. It felt like home, they are an amazing couple artistically and personally. I learned so much and plan to go back in the future.

Irina Oborina

Since childhood, I loved to create and fantasize: instead of dolls, there were buttons or chess. I learned how to create worlds and find non-standard solutions. I studied history, design and animation. I worked in the cartoon series, created videos, was the organizer of a creative project for children, which took 3rd place in the country. Now I have finished work on the second children's book, created illustrations for it.
