HSL City Bikes offer a very useful app in English, Swedish & Finnish where it is easy to set-up an account to book City Bike rentals. There is a very useful map of City Bike locations, which indicates the number of bikes available. There are Daily (Euro 5), Weekly (Euros 10) or Season ( Euros 30) (2018 rates) which entitle the rider to unlimited 30 minute rides, provided you CHECK-IN to a City Bike station before expiry of your 30-minute ride. If you exceed 30 minutes there is a modest Euro1 charge, but it is easier to check in every 20 minutes rather than risking exceeding the 30 minute limit. There are so many stations, which is where advance planning is recommended! Just enter Helsinki City Bikes in a Google search and you will find an excellent website, in ENGLISH! The helpdesk offers excellent support with any questions about log-in procedures and safely logging-in to a full bike station! As the 2018 season (April to October) draws to a close my City Bike app advises me that I have completed 21 hours 32 minutes fulfilling 178.8 kms ... costing me a Weekly Pass, followed by a Season Pass ... costing Euros 40, plus a Euro1 surcharge! I look forward to next April ... the beautiful cycle routes in and around Helsinki & Espoo, easily accessed with a 3-speed HSL City Bike ... thank you HSL!
