Its homonymous capital Valencia is the third largest city and metropolitan area in Spain. It is located along the Mediterranean coast on the east side of the Iberian peninsula. A long stretch of beach that is lined with resorts, restaurants and shops.
A fantastic place for the teenager family. Long Beach, lots of activities and restaurants, just amazing ☀️???? Go towards Alicante for more people and “action” walk towards El Campello and it is a bit calmer. 5/5

BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.
Really nice zoo with animals in spacious, clean enclosures.Baby gorillas were a plus.Easy to get to on bikes through the Turia gardens.

We parked near the steps / slope down to the beach which is very clean and a sun trap (great for sun bathing). The beach is sheltered with a warm sea and is very flat with all amenities including a well stocked bar (reasonably priced and has live music on Sunday afternoons) There is also a walk to the harbour and the restaurant which over looks the coast. After the slow walk back to the car we decided to go to the Lucky Lion at Lomas de Cabo Roig for a cooked breakfast. The breakfast is fantastic value for money costing only €3.50 for what I would describe as a large breakfast. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and the staff were very attentive. Both the beach and the Lucky Lion are definitely worth a visit.

A sandy beach in great location with plenty of restaurants and bars along the promenade for snacks, lunch, dinner etc. Lots of parking nearby for rental cars including our preferred underground car park (keeping the car out of the sun) which was only €3 for the day. Sun loungers on the beach were €7 each plus €7 for an umbrella in August 2019. There were pedalos and kayaks available to rent, but we didn't try these.

Loved this walk - easy to follow; beautiful flowers and amazing views. The first but is really easy then after the tunnel it gets a bit more uneven but still easy for an average hiker. I hiked it on my own no problem. There are toilets and water fountains at the start.

We visited in winter and not long after the storms which left the beaches battered. They are just about recovered and the council (and volunteers) are working hard still. This is a beautiful beach. At town centre end there in the port which opens to a beautiful and long golden beach with recreational zones. It is superb and a stunning beach.

It's a scenic and beautiful walk/ride on the path of an old railway. Very flat and enjoyable, full of locals.
Did this walk from Benicassim to Oropesa & back. It's a lovely flat walk with great views. Not much seemed open near the end at Orepesa, probably because it is out of season.
