Just returned from a weeks skiing holiday. My confidence in skiing was quite low and my 18 yr old son hadn't been skiing for 4 years. The excellent teaching by James was superb, he built my confidence so much, I managed to ski the whole way down from the revolving restaurant via the black run by the end of the week. My son was skiing so well by the end of the week and loved it so much he's wanting to go back next month and become a ski instructor himself! James taught us so much in a few days and builds confidence so well. Eskimos service was great, so accommodating with how we split out lessons. Definitely recommend them. Thanks James and Eskimos.

European Snowsport (ES) Zermatt is a small premier snow sport school offering quality private lessons and small (6) group lessons for children. ES specilizes in offering caring, qualified and fun instructor to make your holiday as special as possible.
I and my friend had private lessons with Jack over two consecutive days in Zermatt and we could not have been happier. Even though I and my friend were at different levels, Jack managed to keep us both engaged in the lessons and has definitely brought a lot of improvement in our snowboarding skills. He was very easy to talk to, he cared a lot for our safety and comfort on the slopes and he managed to always keep us smiling and positive. I highly recommend him if you want to have an amazing day on the slopes and learn a lot in quite a small amount of time. Looking forward to doing this again!

Not many mountain lakes are just a few steps from the cable car; Daubensee is one of them and it is definitely worth visiting it. The view is amazing and changes every 50m along the loop around the lake. The reflection of the mountains on the water is incredible and there are many spots for nice pics. Therefore, consider more than 2 hours to complete the loop, especially if there is snow on the path. And take some food with you, so you can have a pic-nic with a view, and what a view!

We want to take your skiing to the next level. It's that simple. Element is a unique Ski School in Verbier with a focus on quality and on making sure our clients have the best possible time on the mountain. The team is deliberately small - a hand-picked group of the very best, most experienced ski instructors. We offer Private Ski Lessons, Off Piste Lessons, Women's Camps and Ski Instructor Training Programmes. And we'd love to hear from you.
As a group of complete beginners, we have skied with 4 different instructors from Element so far. Each individual instructor had their own teaching style, but all brought learnings that complemented our continued improvement overall. Will, Guy, Jack and Tom all put us at ease and were great fun to work with! Emma & Lucy were also great with helping us book or amend lessons. They were flexible, friendly, client-centric: can definitely recommend the team! (In fact I did actually recommend them and brought some additional friends to book with the school since our first lessons). Thanks Team Element, keep up the good work!

Leaving from Capolago-Riva San Vitale railway station, by Lake Lugano, you'll soon reach the steep slopes of Monte Generoso and its enchanting mountain train which opened in 1890. After an enchanting forty minute journey through the unspoilt natural landscape, you reach the base of the summit (1704m). From this point you can enjoy one of the most thrilling 360° panoramas anywhere in Switzerland. The view of the Alps is unique, and gives you a wonderful 'birds eye view' across the north of Italy, the Lakes region and the alpine chain.Follow the circular trail to discover the ten or so "nevere", ancient versions of our modern fridges. These fascinating cylindrical stone buildings were built by the farming communities to preserve their milk before making it into butter and cheese. This little concentration of these remarkable structures is unparalleled anywhere else in Switzerland. From the station at the top, you can also follow the path along the eastern ridge which arrives firstly at the Nadigh alpage and, shortly after, through a pretty level section flanked by limestone slabs from the local quarries, the Genor alpage. Immediately after, the trail heads gently back up to the railway station, from where you can take the little train again once again to descend to Capolago.

ViaStockalper – The attraction of opposites Times were hard, the roads dangerous. Three centuries ago Kaspar Stockalper, the «King of the Simplon», seized the chance to improve the old mule track over the Simplon Pass, thereby laying the foundation of his huge trading empire. The contrasts of the ViaStockalper give it its special appeal: north of the pass it crosses the lonely Taferna valley, while to the south it goes through the wild Gondo gorge. And all along the way many of Stockalper's monumental buildings still stand.

European Snowsport (ES) is Nendaz's premier ski school. ES provide a full range of private and group lessons for all ages. Instructors are carefully chosen, speak many languages and love to ski, snowboard and above all see people improve.
We booked a full-day private lesson for each of our sons (ages 13 and 9) who are both strong skiers. William had the task of engaging an energetic 9 year old and had an electric personality to match. Our some wanted to go back every day. Tom was paired with our 13 year old with the objective of making a strong skier even stronger. He achieved that end plus our son had a blast in the process. Both instructors were top notch skiers with engaging personalities and teaching styles that created an atmosphere of growth in skills and great fun! They showed the boys parts of the mountain I simply could not reach with them from a skill perspective. Both boys came back absolutely thrilled with their day, having learned plethora of new skills and were completely tired! Mission accomplished. We have skiied all throughout the European Alps, the Rocky Mountains (US and Canada) and the East Coast of the US and have had our sons in many ski schools. European Snowsport Nendaz is the best experience we've had in almost a decade. We highly recomment the school and our instructors, William and Tom.
