A cliff top coastal walk, the Bondi to Coogee walk extends for six km in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The walk features stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. The beaches and parks offer a place to rest, swim or a chance to eat at one of the cafes, hotels, restaurants or takeaways. All beaches offer picnic shelters, electric barbecues, play areas, kiosks, toilets and change-rooms. The walk is not difficult, there are medium gradient paths and several staircases with occasional seating. It takes about two hours to complete the Bondi to Coogee Beach section of the walk and another hour and a half if you choose to continue to Maroubra.
Taking in panoramic views of the coast from Bondi Beach south to Coogee this paved coastal walk is a spectacular way to spend a day out in Sydney. Stop along the way for a swim at different beaches and coves and see a hidden part of the Emerald City. After leaving Bondi beach the walk takes you past Aboriginal rock carvings that marked the boundaries and rights of different Aboriginal clans living in the area. Stop in at Tamarama Beach for a coffee or a quick game of volleyball before continuing on to Bronte Beach and Bronte Baths. From there the path takes you through Waverley Cemetery where you will find the burial plots, crypts and gravestones of some of Sydney's most notorious and colourful identities. The walk continues over the headland where you can stop for a bit of whale-spotting before wending its way through remnant coastal heathland to arrive at Lady McKenzie's baths, Clovelly and the more built-up beach suburb of Coogee. Once at your destination check out the McIver's Women's Baths or take your pick of the fabulous local cafes and restaurants for a well-deserved drink or casual lunch. If you are doing a round trip, you should allow 2.5 to 3 hours but if you only want to go one way, Coogee is well-serviced by buses back to Sydney or Bondi. Sadly the walk is not accessible the whole way, but wheelchairs and prams can do the Bondi to Bronte segment easily.

Taking a ferry directly from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo, located in the suburb of Mosman, is the first unexpected joy of visiting the animal park. Once there, the leisurely trails and opportunity to see some of Australia's distinct wildlife become apparent, as does the striking view of the Harbour Bridge from the seating at the aerial bird show. Advance booking can give you the chance to see koalas up close, or stay overnight and 'camp' in the zoo.
There is so much to see here! I had the pleasure of visiting on my birthday. Its $1 entry and you are requested to make a donation to the Zoo as you enter. You must pre-book to get the deal. Parking as always in SYDNEY is expensive but its great to park with no stress and stay hours without thinking about it - its a flat fee for the day. We went throughout the entire park from 10 until around 3pm. A particular highlight was the Bird show and how well the ladies explained the birds and interacted with the crowds... and the views across Sydney when you watch the Giraffes. We saw all the other animals and finsihed with the Seals show at 2pm, make sure you go there as again its so professional. The ZOO is clean!! We finsihed by taking the cable car from bottom to top then exit through the main entrance. Such a great day out and you shouldnt leave Sydney without the visit.

A nice walk through the bush and along the cliffs from Manly Bay to Shelly Beach with lots of great outlooks along the way. Some areas require stabile footing due to rocks. Glad we wore trail running shoes. And we did this all in torrential rains. Still loved it.

A recent visit was thoroughly enjoyed with our grandchildren. The presence of informative animal keepers, interactive walks with dragons, turtles and realistic dinosaurs were wonderful. Keepers were encountered cuddling baby Tasmanian devils, koalas, owls and snakes. The animal enclosures allowed close up viewing, with most animals quite active. The various walks allowed pram and wheelchair access. The anti venom collection from funnel webs and snakes was outlined by a delightful guide, Katja. She was passionate and keen to share the value of the program. What an amazing young lady! The milking of the funnel webs was amazing and a real highlight. The facility offered healthy snacks and the gift shop was well positioned. Parking convenient and the genuine passion of those working at the park made the day perfect.

Byron Hills is situated situated just 3 mins drive into the quaint village of Bangalow and 6-10 mins to Byron’s beaches. Ballina/Byron Airport is a 20 min drive and Coolongatta Airport is a 45 min drive. The property sits on 5 lush acres with views of the surrounding Hinterland and Macadamia farms. The house is well equipped and beautifully furnished with warm inviting interiors. There are 4 good sized bedrooms in total. The Master Suite including an ensuite and outdoor bath with stunning views. Each of the bedrooms open onto gardens or decks with views. There are several outdoor zones to enjoy including an undercover bbq area with seating for 8 people including lounge area. The Tuscan inspired pergola also seating for 8 people includes a traditional pizza oven. This is a beautiful space of an evening as the sun goes down behind the spot lit 100 year old Fig tree. There are monthly markets held as well as the weekly Saturday morning Farmers market where you will find local produce.
I love Byron so much. It’s getting quite commercial now and the prices are up there, but I definitely love the vibe and how everything is centrally located , so I recommend getting accomodation near by so you don’t really need to touch the car unless you’re driving to surf spots. I would avoid going during schoolies and school holidays to avoid the chaos .

One of Sydney's premier inner harbour beaches. Walk along the pristine sand, swim in the refreshing waters or throw a line in and catch yourself dinner. Parking can be a challenge on weekends.

Experience the ultimate zoofari at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo! Whether you walk, drive or ride around the Zoo's five kilometre circuit on hired bikes or carts, there's so much to see and do. The Zoo is home to hundreds of rare and endangered animals including giraffes, rhinos, elephants and big cats. Daily keeper activities (included in zoo entry) and special tours deliver magical experiences you will never forget. Tickets are valid for two consecutive days, giving you ample time to experience all that is on offer. The Zoo's free access Savannah Visitor Plaza includes shop, playground and cafe overlooking Savannah Lake and Primate Island, home to Black-handed Spider Monkeys and Ring-tailed Lemurs. For the ultimate zoofari, experience African style Zoofari Lodge, self-contained Savannah Cabins, or go bush camping at Billabong Camp.
Fantastic day... they have adapted to covid with safety measures and QR codes to watch videos rather than live zoo keeper talks. Hired a golf buggy which was great - but you can only hire for 3 hours which only got us half way around. So after returning it ended up walking most of the zoo again anyway. Next time I would hire bikes instead - flat, easy to get around. Talk bottled water not many places to refill. Totally worth the trip!! Pleasantly surprised by Dubbo overall!
