We brought our 8 year old girl to OK for 1.5 hour lesson. She had never rode before. Little did we know what a treat this turned out to be. Trainer Khun Joe is truly amazing - the way he explained how to handle horses, what to do and what not to do. My daughter felt safe and confident under his guidance and within an hour she was riding a trotting horse with ease. Very impressive. My wife and I can't say enough on how wonderful Khun Joe is as a riding instructor. (He is Thai but fluent in English). The added bonus is the ranch itself and the excellent trails attached. The only problem is that all my daughter wants to talk about now is going back to OK Corral.

Great business run by a father and his daughter. Both spoke good English. The bike was the best scooter I’d rented in Asia. I rode it to Phimai and back. They also helped me with directions and organised a Grab to the bus station. Great customer service!

If you are looking for a place to relax, and I mean REALLY RELAX, and get away from it all, Look no further buddy, you’ve found it! From the second you walk into Rancho Charnvee you’ll know and feel that “You’re There! “ It’s a beautiful ranch style setup with horse stables off to your left where you can see and feed the horses grazing in their corrals. Just beyond that is a big sprawling back nine of their golf course, green and lush. Enter the lobby to be met by their warm and gracious staff, all smiles. Bellhop promptly transfers your luggage to their,,, I don’t know how exactly to describe it. A mix between a Rolls Royce and Cadillac golf cart that they escort you to your room in. Its really something! Fancy, Fancy! This thing looks like its right out of the movie Caddyshack or something, only missing Rodney Dangerfield in his blaring golf attire and hilarious horn sound. As you walk through the lobby it opens up to a wooden deck with a lounge area decked out in ranch style décor, seats, couches, a little bar with wooden bar stools and overlooking a picturesque little pond. Follow the ramps down to a pretty little green lawn to throw a frisbee or kick a soccer on. Continue a little further along to pool with fountains shooting water up into the air. It’s really quite the site. Little kids pool on one side, circular kids pool jacuzzi on the other, pool bar across from that. We pull up to the rooms in our ritzy little golf cart to see the cutest little Tuscan Italian style house entrance. Really cute. The rooms are nice, decked out in the same style, and clean with a big firm bed and high ceilings. To me, this is the game winner. The high ceiling just make it feel so much larger and breathable. I don’t like small rooms! In addition, the pool view rooms have these quaint little back patios with a table and chairs, a I mean a nice solid iron table and chairs, not some rinky dink plastic set up. They have cute little bricked patios and and iron gates. It makes it pretty nice facing the sunset while you pop open a bottle of red and /or a bottle of white (*I did both* ????). I have to be honest, it was right out of a dream! Realaxing to the Max! We spent a few days there riding horses around the property. I think it was just a couple of two or three hundred baht for pretty good long ride. They have a couple corrals and stables where you can watch, feed and pet the horses. I know my four year old daughter really enjoyed that. They have mountain bikes you can rent and ride along the trails by the golf course, 100 baht an hour, and trust me, I don’t know if you have ridden any mountain bikes lately, but an hour is plenty long to ride, unless you are an enthusiast. *N9te to new riders, they do not like you to take the mountain bikes onto the golf course or through the sand traps! ????. Trust me on this one. Lets just say, mistakes were made????, But we live and we learn, right? The restaurant was nice, not overly fancy, but the food was good and service was on point. They have a couple if dining rooms and seat quite few people. It was not very busy when I attended for dinner. Breakfast was also nicely set up and we preferred to eat outdoors at their cutely tiled tables. The buffet had just about everything you would want or expect at this type of place, pancakes, waffles, omelet station, bacon, sausages, potatoes, bacon, an assortment of Thai dishes, breads juices, bacon, fresh fruits and did I mention BACON? Which pretty much defines whether or not I’m going to like the buffet. Yes, they had bacon, no eggs benedict, but in the eternal words of the Rolling Stones “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need” and that we did, indeed. The location, we thought, was good as we sent our days hopping around picking strawberries at the numerous strawberry patches a hop skip and a jump away. Eating steaks at the famous Chokchai farm, visiting the wine vineyards and national park. All in all, I really cannot say enough good things about my experience at Rancho Charnvee in khao Yai. It comes with my highest recommendations, top notch in my book and I all our readers get to indulge in this treasure of a hotel. I am certain you will not be disappointed. Cheers Mates and Enjoy the Good Times

The Village was beautiful and could be completely self-contained if this is what you're looking for. The food was excellent and it had plenty to do for a family. If golf is on your agenda, you're in for a treat. The course was in excellent condition and had the right amount of difficult and easy holes.

We (8) played at Khao Yai Golf Club at the end of September which is in rainy season. The golf course is surrounded in Khao Yai Mountains. The clubhouse is new and nice. The caddy was good. The locker room is nice. The golf course is beautiful in rainy season.
