Incredible redevelopment job on this course. I used to play here a few years ago but moved out of town. Got my first game on the new course there today and it really is excellent. Dodgy weather which is par for course, but the new layout has some of the best designed greens I’ve ever played on. It’s a lot different to how it used to be - the slightly more bonkers holes (which I always used to like actually, but not to everyone’s tastes) which could ruin your round have been removed, replaced by some short but spectacular risk and reward holes. Lots of changes in elevation, well designed bunkering and some amazing green complexes keep it interesting Don’t let the lengths on the scorecard fool you, you’ve got to play incredibly tight to keep a low score on the short par 4s, but everyone’s got a chance. Eagle opportunities for the better players, but plenty of decent chances for a par for part-timers (just make sure you’ve practiced your putting). This is a really fun course, the greenskeepers and management have done a great job. I would highly recommend.
