A fairly easy walk up the hill to the top for some great views over the town and castle. Most of the walk is paved/steps a small church is at the top but it is the views in all directions that you would go up here for. We went in October and while it was sunny (but chilly) in the town up the hill there was a bitter wind blowing hard so take the correct clothing for the time of year that you visit...!

The layout of this pool is unique. It resembles a river bed. Hence the long and stretched layout. Inside the pool the riverbed layout had been implemented as well. At the side the water is shallow, in the middle is deep. At one side it is even so deep that swimmers can enjoy swimming longer distance. Both slides are awesome. The wide one allows sliding together. The higher one allows for serious fast sliding. The rules at the slides are not enforced at all. I actually liked that, since the slides can be enjoyed better. Do not mistake not enforcing all the rules with no guard. There are 2 life guards keeping an eye on the slides and it's surrounding area. Anyone behaving dangerous is called out. There is more entertainment with aqua fitness or so. Not my thing, but I liked the music and the atmosphere it brings. For the beach volleyball fields, you need to book a timeslot at the house next to it. We didn't know, but were pointed in the right direction. All in a very relaxed great manner. When you want to buy some food or drinks, which is really affordable, make sure to bring cash. Entrance can be paid with card. There aren't that many places providing shade, but we managed to find some every time. The location is huge. We visited when the site mentioned over 3500 visitors. That's a lot, but not too much. Most visitors enjoy sunbathing. Parking is difficult at busy days. Better be early ????.
