If you are looking for an active place to stay with world-class attractions, Ohio’s major cities can satisfy any vacation desire. Each offers its own distinct flavor of fun, from professional sports – Bengals (Cincinnati), Cavaliers (Cleveland) and Indians (Cleveland again) – to museums, outdoor activities and more. One of the most famous is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. If football is your thing, don’t miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. For the science-minded, visit the meat eaters at the Carnivore Conservation Center in the Wilds near Cambridge, dedicated to the breeding and scientific study of endangered mid-sized carnivores. Kids will also love Planet Snoopy in Sandusky or the Columbus Zoo’s Zoombezi Bay Waterpark and Jack’s Landing rides.

Murphy and I were out inspecting the preparations for the 21st Annual Flying Pig Marathon. Food venders, sound systems, and signage were all getting ready for one of the biggest events of the year. There will be a half and full marathon, plus a 2 mile Flying Fur event for dogs and their human companions. Murphy and I will not participate directly but will certainly cheer on the participants. Over 36k are expected to take part in the festivities. The half and full Marathons start and finish in the same locations and will be run the same day. Racers may use their times to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Since streets will be closed all over town, Murphy and I will be doing our thing on foot as usual. Hope to see you down town this weekend. Happy Murphy-Cam! #riverfront #igerscincinnati #YearOfTheFlood #TheMurphyCamProject #PeterTeremi #Cincinnati #schnauzerlovers #schnauzerdoglovers #FlyingPigMarathon

I went with some friends and we had a great 5 mile hike through the park. The trails/roads were well maintained and there was plenty of flora and fauna to enjoy as well. As we were returning to the parking lot, we noticed that there were several Bison in a field nearby. It was very cool to see these magnificent animals in person but he behind a fence and at a safe distance. :)

Our training facility is like no other, calm, clean, fresh water and no interruptions during your personal lesson. Our professional instructors will safely guide you through an experience you will never forget. Come fly with us!
I had a great time with our teacher Jeremy. He was patient and did a good job of describing what to do on my first time. I did the flyboard and had an absolute blast. I recommend the longer the better for times because once you get a hang of it, you won't want to come out of the water.

Starting off at the Visitors' Center, the helpful ranger told us that this was her favorite place in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It was mine, too. We were there on a warm September morning and took our time going through it, as there is so much to see. There are also some short cuts around some of the more treacherous parts or you can just stay on the flatter areas. It's truly a hike for anyone.

My 17-year-old and went through the open water scuba classes with Just Add Water. Great expereince, and we took our first open water dives off Maui after the classes to complete the certification process. I reccomend the school; the instructors are very atentive and committed to making sure you are ready to be successfull under water. Brooklyn pool was pretty heavily clorinated, so a couple half days in the pools was pretty irritating. Wash off right away. We are looking forward to being a part of this local dive shop and taking some adventures with them.

The people who run this are very nice, would highly recommend this for anyone. This was our first kayak adventure on a river and it went great. We had been on a lake, but going down the river beats that any day.

With the COVID-19 virus raging, what's a family with rambunctious kids to do? Get thee to a park! We had lunch today at Sharon Woods, just to get outside and have some fresh air. I have been coming to this park for over 40 years and it always delivers. Whether it's "Holiday in Lights" displays at Christmas, to a quiet trail by the waterfall at lunchtime, to a fun corporate event at an outdoor pavilion, to a walk back in time in their Pioneer Villiage, to a day on the lake, or jogging around it, there's just so many things to do. Great visitors center with a children's play area, educational exhibits, and gift shop with Charley Harper items. If you live in the area and you haven't taken advantage of this small gem of a park, what are you waiting for?
