Since we have our passports, my husband and I decided to cross the border to see something in Canada while staying in Sault Ste Marie. In less than 20 minutes, we were at this park. If you use Google maps, it will take you to a parking lot by Bible Fellowship Church. Do yourself a favor and put in Hiawatha Ice Cream. Just past this is another slightly hidden sign for Kinsmen Park (on the right). Follow this one track road down and you will be right at the base of the trail leading to the falls. There is a raised deck path back to them. I love waterfalls and this one did not disappoint. You can climb higher up and cross them via a small bridge. I would highly recommend coming to see this one.

It is important to note at the onset that I have paddled annually with Mike Petzold for more than 10 years, so my review encompasses many different routes, weather conditions and travelling companions. The trips with Mike have covered much of the north coast of Lake Superior, the north channel of Lake Huron and Lake Nipigon and have varied in length from 5 days to 11. In all those years, trips, weather conditions and unexpected challenges, I have never failed to return, refreshed and thrilled! Mike always provides a trip that is exceptionally safe; he never takes undue risks, despite pushing individuals to step out of their personal comfort zones. The equipment provided is top notch, the meals are delicious and Mike's extensive knowledge of the geology, flora and fauna of Lake Superior adds an enriching dimension to each adventure. The number of trips taken and enjoyed summarizes my complete confidence in Mike and why I am already looking forward to the next paddle.
