I love try the local and typical cuisine when we are abroad and this was exceptional. One dish that was quite unique was a "pesto:" of raw bacon. The view and the wine and the attentive owners made for a memorable late lunch.

You will not leave this place hungry. Great primi piatti (pasta dishes) and secondi (meat) whith some dolci afterwards leave you full and happy, especially after you have seen the bill.

We went here as part of the Food and Wine/Ferrari tour with Amazing Italy and I am now starting to think that there are no bad restaurants in this region! The pastas were amazing, my favourite was the spinach and ricotta tortelloni. They served a perfect 6 course meal with just the right servings. The restaurant is beautiful and if you go upstairs at the right time, your might catch the staff making fresh pasta in the upstairs kitchen. This was such a good experience.

Agriturismo San Polo Via San Polo 5 | Modena, 41014, Castelvetro di ModenaWhile on a day outing to see some parmesan, balsamic vinegar and Parma ham factories, we ended our outing here with a light lunch and some wine tasting. The 100+ acers of vineyards, apartments and a restaurant was owned by an eclectic chef named Paolo. Paolo prepared a delicious lunch for us which consisted of bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and grated cheese, a zucchini soup (more like a puree) prepared with pureed potatoes and hers, tomatoes and mozzarella âall fresh from his garden along with some cured meats (prosciutto and salami) with homemade bread and the creamiest cow cheese I have ever had melted on top! We sampled some reds and whites and was so full and satisfied that we are determined to come back here one day! After eating so much pasta, fresh vegetables is what we craved. It was so delicious, yet healthy. If you are anywhere near Emilia Romana/Modena/Castelvetro area do not hesitate to make accommodations here. Just the property along will fill you with a wanderlust that Paoloâs cooking is sure to please.Ciao Ramona. Grazie della visita e della bella recensioneArrivederci - saluti Paolo Ghiddi.

This restaurant made publicity with a menu of the day costing 13 EUR. Once seaten, I was not given all options to choose from that local (regular) guests got. Food really of inferior quality ; bathroom very dirty ! Price for the 13 EUR menu when I came to pay the bill at the bar : 15 EUR ; I had spent not more than 15 minutes inside, eating the crappy food.

Easy to find along the road and easy to park the car. The menu is simple with traditional and not complex meals. The interior is clean. We discovered the thin crepe (like lace), a bit salty and quite crispy. Nice as appetizer (2 EUR/each).For the meals, they are simple and good.

We don't normally do campervans but hired one to attend an exhibition in Rome. We couldn't plan where we would stay on the way down and exhausted after pulling off the autostrada we chanced across this place. Ponte Guerro offer a gated and CCTV safe haven for truckers to park their wagons and have a separate lovely field for you park your camper in if overnighting. Do NOT be put off by this being a truck stop. This place is beautiful and a warmer welcome you could not wish for. It is spotless, warm and friendly. In spite of being a draw for motorway travellers, the restaurant is buzzing with local people too. We had some of the best food we have eaten anywhere in the world. The staff are friendly and the service was excellent in spite of the restaurant being packed. Without doubt on of the best fillet steaks I have ever eaten with a wild mushroom sauce, and awesome profiteroles! Our grappa's were on the house in the bar afterwards. In the morning we had gorgeous pastries and coffees and met Romeo the enormous black cat . Elis and Claudia have cleverly managed to create an organised smart truck and camper park and yet maintained a classy eating establishment - he even has incorporated a delicatessen of local products. I really can't fault this place, we even called back in on our way back. I very memorable stay, I think Elis is like a superman - he has his eye on the ball and makes you feel really welcome and looked after. Fantastic hosts. Thank you :)

I know this restaurant from many years. I find the same good quality and atmosphere any time. It's located very closed to the Modena South highway exit and I think it's the perfect location to taste the famous Emilia's mood. The cookery is traditional : assortment of cured meat and Parmiggiano cheese as starters; home made pasta (tagliatelle, tortellini, lasagna etc. ) with meat sauce or in soup; grilled or baked meat and the cart of boiled meat for the lovers !You eat hemmed in a collection of Ferrari's memorabilia so you have a full experience for the taste and for the eyes.
