We had lunch at this delightful little restaurant, the fixed menu comprising of Ligurian specialities of starter, main course, a glass of wine and a refillable bottle of water - no plastic. The starter was Bandacujun, a mixture of salt cod and potato rather like a rissole without the breadcrumbs and very tasty indeed. The main course was a lasagne with homemade pesto and was delicious. Altogether a very satisfying lunch

You find eating places along the promenade by the dozen. Very little distinguishes one from another - same average food lists, same non-descript décor, same view - or lack of it due to beach huts and the like.Courtesy is by no means a given: quite on the contrary, you often find cheesed-off, demotivated personnel, only too happy to see the back of you after you've paid the bill. Not here. L'Ancora shines for the politeness of the staff. Maybe not the first priority for many customers, but enough to leave us stunned, who have been eating out in no small number of places. Bravi!

We were early for dinner at 18:30 and the first guests, selecting a full-course menu with antipasti, pasta and main course a local sea fish recommended by the service. The portions were to big for the several courses recommended, the main course poorly served as filets were expelled purely and acommpanying vegetables mashy or burned potatoes. The total of 125 Euro for two expected far better quality and a more focussed service.

Lovely restaurant with nice staff and tasty food, but portions are enormous! Weâd have been ok with one portion between 2. They should offer small sizes or warn how big they are as there must be so much waste. We were offered take away containers but if youâre in a hotel thatâs not always possible.

Quite often TripAdvisor lists the same place under different names because of confusion by reviewers or variations in title or language. There are more than 600 reviews available, good and bad, if you look for the listing with the Italian spelling of 'ristorante' rather than 'restaurant'.

you can experiment several types of the typical "focaccia" from the Liguria region.Service is fast, food is good, location is just in front of the see and there is also enough place to seat down and relax.Overall a good place where to stop for a quick break

Good place for a lunch break. Very kind staff. The tables are just a couple of steps from the sea. Normal salads, great pasta with homemade pesto.

Nice quality food and good prices. The pasta is fantastic! Gets very busy so either book or get there earlier.

This restaurant has a sort of Medieval them, which doesn't quite work. The staff are in cotton shifts with a St George cross on, and the food might have been great for big meat-eaters but left us with little choice. Not cheap, either!Sorry for my bad English, I am Emilio the owner of Ai Secoli Bui. I think it is difficult to satisfy all tastes of our customers, usually people come to us for the actual quality of the meat, our strength! we do however also appetizers, soups, pasta, pizza, focaccia and something fish. The price of our meat is directly proportional to the high-quality of the proposal. We hope to have you for our guests to try to make you change your mind on our work.

A nice evening above the Mediterranean in the nice atmosphere of the La Femme. We had menu degustiazione for one and Antipasti and secondo piatto separately. It was prepared accordingly but a little design-oriented more than extraordinary taste. The pulpo crosta though was excellent, the different dips/cremes ( as well as those accompanying the raw fish platter (nigiri) nevertheless were boring. Vitello tonnato was a good portion with lots of tonno taste. The roasted fish then was very tasty and excellent together with Ligurian vegetables. The desert was again a little boring and unambitious. Over all we had a very nice evening, service was friendly and efficient, but to be honest we had a little higher expectation-maybe next time.
