Situated in the historical Lyons Cottage along the Esplanade, Aboriginal Bush Traders is one of Darwin’s most unique attractions. Our retail gallery exhibits a range of authentic Indigenous products, and is complimented by our Café, which focuses on using native Australian products and bush tucker in our menu. Aboriginal Bush Traders is 100% not-for profit. Gallery open: 9am - 4pm Monday to Friday & 9am - 2pm Saturday. Café open: 7:30am - 3pm Monday to Friday & 9am - 2pm Saturday.
Aboriginal Bush Traders has wonderful and authentic cuisine showcasing Aboriginal food with a twist. I ate an excellent ham and cheese Panini. I drank a refreshing Rosella ice tea, which tastes similar to Hibiscus. The food was cooked to order and Raeleen greets customers with her contagious smile. The gift shop has fantastic indigenous items too. I purchased a rub that cures coughs for my father. The best part is that they're centrally located because it is a three-minute walk from my hotel. Lastly, it is directly across ta park with a sea view.

Goat Island Lodge is a very small fishing and wilderness lodge, with a licensed bar and bistro. 4 only hotel rooms, 2 have 4 single beds, and 2 have 1 Queen size and 2 single beds. All rooms with ensuite, and aircon. but very basic as that is the market serviced. There is no official transport to Island, must have own or hired boat, or come by helicopter.
What an absolutely beautiful place, Kai the owner is the funniest old fart ????highly recommended place to stop for a cold beer.

We stopped in for a drink on our way from Darwin to Alice Springs and decided we would change our return itinerary slightly so we could come back for Beef n Barra and the live music. We had the best night. The food was great and the music entertaining and fun. Some of the 'decorations' may not be to everyone's taste, but you don't have to look at it. Grab a drink and sit outside in the outdoor area and enjoy being in an iconic, historic Australian pub.

We are a proud local wine bar and kitchen located in the middle of Darwin town, housed in a heritage listed stone shop house dating from the 1880’s. Our tastes in wine are as varied as they are many, and we travel widely to source inspired drops. Come in and join us for drinks and snacks, prop yourself at the bar, or discover our growing wine garden out the back.
A great find in Darwin. Beautiful setting in an old stone building (it used to be an opium den) and a pretty back garden. Excellent selection of wines and beers, with knowledgeable friendly staff who are happy to give tastings and chat about the wine. Great bar snacks as well - two types of anchovies!

Had lunch here on the way back from our Adelaide River croc cruise. Classic country pub setting. Large delicious meals. Good selection of drink. Live music on a Sunday afternoon.

Our iconic hotel dates back to 1940 and has long been known as Darwin’s meeting place. Open 7 days a week from 10am till late. Enjoy a delicious meal and choose from the many cold beers that are on tap. Hotel Darwin features an award winning Sports Bar and a newly refurbished beer garden. Enjoy free live music every Friday and Saturday nights during the Dry Season.
I really liked the atmosphere of this place, very relaxed, big out door beer garden, great balcony location at the front, pool tables, lots of tap beer, live entertainment, it kind of ticked a lot of boxes for me.
