Old fashioned traditional Irish music pub dating back to 1895, rich in tradition and culture with a lovely atmosphere. Music every Friday and Saturday during the winter and every Wednesday Friday Saturday and Sunday during the summer, Famous for its trad sessions with some of Ireland finest having played here. Friels is a listed building a still has some of the old structural fittings in place which is worth seeing.
Hidden Gem in Milltown Malbay. Great pub all round. Cosy with natural fire, very friendly staff, lovely pints of Guinness, topped off with trad session.

We spent a couple of nights in here, listening to rich, fabulous Irish music with a variety of instruments including banjo, the pipes along with Guitar and violin. Friendly - a traditional Irish pub selling good beer and one that hasn’t sold out to the wave of tourists, but one that shouldn’t be missed.

Ceili by the Lee is a traditional Irish social gathering. It's hard to be all things to all people, but we try our best: whether you want to learn to dance in the old Irish style, get fit, make new friends, or simply have the craic we have you covered! Combining the hectic energy of a party in an ocean liner steerage with the nostalgia of a Gaeltacht days fado, this is an activity that won't disappoint! Come along from 8, and the MC will show how they used to do in old Ireland. Neither aptitude nor experience is required, as the Messrs O'Toole are renowned for turning two left feet into a matching pair. Mondays at 19:30 in Crane Lane on Phoenix Street Admission €5 Check FB for more info!
A great experience the few times I went! Each week starts with the basic steps, which is great for people like me that need a lot of practice. But it's never boring because of the enthusiasm of the instructor and the different dances every week.

"Serving the people of cork since 1849" Costigan's Traditional Irish pub is without doubt one of Cork's oldest and finest pubs, nestled in the heart of Washington Street, Cork City. What began as a Fish Mongers, then became a coach house and years later a sweet shop, it blossomed into the charming pub that it is today. Through the centuries it has retained its Irish character. It is an old style public house with its long bar counter, snug and parlour area; not to mention the open fire and heated beer garden. With an extensive local whiskey and gin selection from Cork and the rest of Ireland, Costigan's Traditional Irish Pub is the perfect setting to enjoy a drink or two. Costigan's stunning individual architecture provides the ideal atmosphere to enjoy one of Ireland's most traditional pubs. Céad Míle Fáilte!
Have visted a few times on random occasions, always get a good pint of Guinness. Non-pretentious & friendly attitude from those behind the bar. Would recommend for a drink on quiet or busy nights. There's a lovely sitting area down the back for a small group, & the smoking area while small, is accessible from both sides.

Christy Barry and his partner Sheila have entertained friends and musicians at their home for many years, sitting around the fire playing music and telling stories. Although the pub sessions are extremely popular they realized that many of their visitors preferred to listen to traditional music in the intimate environment of their home. As a result of this they decided to open up their atmospheric home to visitors so they can experience local Irish music in the relaxed surroundings of their home. Christy talks and discusses the history of traditional Irish music and plays great tunes. Visitors can enjoy the experience of visiting a local home, enjoying local company and listening to a good traditional music session around the fire. Sheila is an artist and her works surround the rooms in the house creating a truly art home atmosphere.
What could be more authentic than to be welcomed into an Irish musician's home and treated to an evening of music and stories? Christy and Shelagh welcomed us warmly and treated us to trad music, wonderful stories of days gone by, and some smoked salmon, delicious local cheeses and wine. Thanks for one of the most authentic experiences I've enjoyed so far in Ireland. Not to be missed!

Moher Cottage is a family owned and run business beside the Cliffs of Moher in Co.Clare. It is a design led destination store supporting local Irish businesses, selling beautiful Irish products that we love, with panoramic views over Liscannor Bay. Serving premium barista coffee, if you come our wish is you will stay awhile and leave a smile. Now selling online on mohercottage.com also
I had read great reviews about the Moher Cottage before we travelled to Ireland. It lived up to its reputation. After we purchased some Irish crafts in the adorable gift store, we enjoyed coffee & pastries overlooking the Irish countryside. It was a gorgeous day and we were able to relax after walking The Cliffs. The staff were friendly and gave us the histroy of the cottage. Well worth the stop.

Nestled in the heart of Ennistymon, Cooley's House or Cooley's as its more commonly known is a warm, welcoming family run pub. It's the ideal place to come and enjoy some traditional Irish music (every Wednesday and Friday nights), a nice fire and a drink or two. A tourist favourite, traditional Irish Coffee's are Cooley's speciality, the perfect complement to a local trad session!
This was absolutely the most fun I have ever had in a pub in my life! the family environment with Joan and Pat was like taking a little piece of Ireland home with me in my memories. Joan is such a wonderful woman she looked out for us like a mama bear and provided safety that we needed as 3 women traveling alone getting home. We can’t wait to come back and visit again. You MUST go visit Cooley’s ????????????????????????
