Copenhagen was once a Viking fishing settlement, and you can still find traces of the Norse explorers here. Visit reconstructed villages, the remains of a 1,000-year-old castle, and museums dedicated to the notorious raiders. Copenhagen also features a blend of modern architecture and historical artifacts such as the Round Tower observatory – a wonderful example of 17th-century architecture. Art galleries, narrow streets, canals, parks, and Baroque churches round out the city’s cultural attractions.

Unique artwork. Colourfull mosaic tiles covering walls, floors and celings in a big 3D-artwork. Made by late artist and decorator Manuel Tafat. The artwork started in 1996 when Copenhagen was announced Cultural City. The artist was inspired by Joan Miro, Matisse and Antonio Gaudi.

This cozy basement bar is the Vesterbro outpost of the burgeoning Mikkeler empire. But describing it as an "empire" might send you in the wrong direction. We also visited their Baghaven (Refshaleøen) and Mikkeler & Friends (Nørrebro) locations on this trip, and here's what you might expect at any Mikkeler spot: * A great range & selection of beer on tap. (20ish at this location) * Friendly staff who will happily answer questions without making you feel like a novice. * Spaces designed for conversation. This is a smallish space - seating maybe 30-40 comfortably - so bear this in mind if you're headed there during peak hours. But if you have any interest in beer at all, definitely add it to your list.

Lidkoeb opened it’s doors in november 2012, and is owned by Adeline and Rasmus Shepherd-Lomborg, who are also the couple behind Ruby cocktail bar in the centre of Copenhagen. The core values of the two places are very much the same; friendly and professional service, great products and a cosy atmosphere. However, as it often goes with younger siblings, Lidkoeb is slightly more rebellious, and the music tends to get a little bit louder than at big sister Ruby. We think this is perfect for the location on Vesterbro, but come by and see for yourselves.
I love bourbon, my Danish friends were on the Scotch, my American friend was on the Japanese Whiskey. All of us were blown away on the top floors knowledge, range and quality. Great old fashioned, great whiskey experiences and great atmosphere.

Alfons' (Skelbækgade 42) is a wine bar with carefully selected wine ranging from classical Bourgogne to hip nature wine. Come visit and find your favorite.
We were in the meatpacking district for dinner and walked past this wine bar as we started to head home. We were drawn to it by the cute interior and decided to get a nightcap. What a cozy space--just a few tables and eclectic chairs and, in typical Danish fashion, perfect lighting. The server was super-nice and knowledgable and we enjoyed our selections of a petnat and a funky orange wine. Great atmosphere; a perfect way to end the night. I look forward to returning!

The Library is and old and famous cocktail bar located in the historic Copenhagen Plaza Hotel. We offer both our own creations of cockails along with all the classics and wine, champagne and beers. The bar is open for everyone. Back in the days it was an old lounge for cognac and cigars, but the laws forbid smoking in the bar today. We hope to see your visit the bar one day. A hint: Live jazz every Friday and Saturday starting from 9:30pm with our Jazz houseband - makes the perfect night out!
Beautiful old bar in a hotel which we discovered by accident. They have live jazz at weekends and offer great cocktails. Prices are as all other bars in Copenhagen for cocktails and around 100 - 120 K a drink. A great place to have a relaxing drink in a beautiful setting
