Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Leading comedy club and host to top talent.
Went out on Tuesday night with a group of ladies, had some beers and few snacks. The place was busy and lively. Easy to get there, organized, walked to our seats by concierge. The venue is intimate with great seating layout so everyone can have a excellent view of stage. Comics were all good in different ways. Was a great night out.

Enjoyed a few drinks here before heading to a Knicks game a few weeks ago. Friendly staff. Bartender gave me a round on the house despite it being my one and only time there. Cross the street and straight in to Maddison Square Garden. Ideal!

Comix is New York's hottest new comedy nightclub featuring headline comedians and established New York-area comics, the best of cutting edge alternative comedy, improv and sketch comedy as well as music and variety programming. Perfectly situated in Manhattans booming Meatpacking District at 353 West 14th Street (just east of Ninth Avenue), Comix draws upon the rich experience of going to the theater uptown but brings with it a decidedly downtown attitude, not to mention a very now decor.

True dive bar. Ideal for a beer and a shot, especially in the AM. Don’t touch the locals, they bite.

This place is a wonderful bar with a throwback/retro vibe. It's sharp and classy but relaxed and fun at the same time. Good cocktails and drinks, very good service. Their karaoke nights are fun - it is piano karaoke where there is a live piano player and you are provided the words to the song you want to sing. Unlike actual karaoke, the lyrics don't "move" (light up or appear) as you go, they are just the lyrics on an iPad, so you have to know the song somewhat to know when to sing or not sing. The crowd has a great time with this and everyone is very supportive of everyone else's efforts. The crowd was a good mix of young and middle aged and even some older folks. I felt more like I was in Los Angeles or even Las Vegas than NYC. While the place isn't what I'd call "big" it does seem much roomier than most NY bars, I never felt cramped or crowded in any part of the bar. I think that also contributed to it feeling more like LA or LV than NY. I'm planning on returning and using this place as a go-to when I am not sure where I want to go or take friends. It has enough charm and class that even on a night where there isn't karaoke or live music it is fun and comfortable while not being a dive like so many other bars feel.

Visited here during our visit to New York. Staff here are friendly and welcoming. The choice of music is interesting especially on a Thursday when they have some crazy video sequence playing over the TV's. Drinks are reasonably priced and cant wait to visit America again to return.
