Because of the Virus problem, the pub/restaurant is closed. However they are offering a delivery service with a good menu choice. We had delivery on Saturday which arrived bang on time and the food was excellent. Well packaged so that it arrived fairly hot. Highly recommend that you try. Delivery within 2-3 miles is free and free if further with a spend of £25.

We've recently moved into the village and one of the first priorities was to visit our local pub, The Blinkin' Owl. We were given a warm welcome from Dave (the Landlord) and the lovely Sylvia. We have eaten there quite a few times now, Friday & Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch. Last Friday we were part of a group of 8 friends, 3 of whom ordered steak. They requested rare, medium rare and well done. All 3 friends said their steaks were delicious and cooked just as they liked it! We also pre-booked for Sunday lunch and 12 of us enjoyed good food and a relaxed afternoon. There was no hurrying us to the table nor encouraging us to leave so they could lock up. It's a small kitchen with Sylvia in charge. If you want fine dining this is not the place for you but if you want good food in a dog friendly, traditional pub, then try it. We love it and will continue to take ourselves and our friends there.

Dating from the 16th century, The Greatworth Inn is a traditional country pub, located in the heart of the small village of Greatworth, as a Freehouse the owners John and Margaret take pride in the quality and variety of their ales and are CAMRA members. The Greatworth Inn is the perfect place for dining, meeting friends, family get together's or for just popping in for a quiet pint. May 2018 saw the opening of a wonderful new beer garden incorporating a custom built Aunt Sally Throw reputed to be the 'Best in the league'. The Greatworth Inn prides itself in being the hub of the local community and plays host to the village's Annual Soap Box Derby, usually held in June, whilst organising its own Annual Beer & Music Festival in early August, an event not to be missed. John and Margaret put their success down to the valuable contribution their family make into the business.
Was told by friends to try the Greatworth inn.The landlord and wife were very friendly and the food was really good! The beer was kept well (my husbands words) A very pleasant few hours eating good food and chatting with friends. What more could you ask for Thank you Margaret and John.

We love to come here. In the summer the garden is a pretty and sunny place to relax and there is a playground just behind, by the village hall. Great that there is now delicious food available too, every night a different dish. We ate on a Saturday night, which is burger night, the burgers are big and juicy and accompanied by perfectly cooked chips. it was cold outside but the fire was going and we were so cosy enjoying a glass of wine and a game of cards. Dogs are welcome too and the atmosphere and landlady are friendly and welcoming. We'll be back!
