I have visited the Cable Bay Restaurant on Waiheke numerous times as a casual diner for both lunch and dinners. As I live in Auckland most of the year I visit Waiheke often over the long summers as it is one of my favourite spots to go in all of NZ.Cable Bay has never failed to turn on an excellent spread, it is at the upper end of the market price wise and you certainly get what you pay for, great wines as well.

I wasn't thrilled by Stonyridge - neither the wine nor the set up, actually. Maybe it was just because it was a chilly day. The wine is extremely expensive but at least you can buy single tasting glasses. Which is just as well considering the one I had was $8. Of course, the bottle price was well over $100. I guess, on the upside it was a chance to try wine that I will never, ever, in a million years, be able to afford to buy.Menu looked ok but, again, expensive I thought.Nice location - but then, that's not extraordinary on lovely Waiheke.

I pre-booked an event at wild on waiheke for 20 people, so easy to organise through the team online. When we arrived at Wild on Waiheke a few weeks later the staff were absolutely incredible, made us feel so welcome and relaxed, really attentive and couldn't have asked for more! Food was amazing and everyone super impressed with the pre-ordered spread we had. Would recommend in a flash!

We had a celebratory brunch from the new brunch menu and everything was so delicious! I chose the Bloody Mary which was just the right amount of spicy and the poached eggs with avocado were perfectly cooked, my friend had the vegetarian eggs benedict and the asparagus and mushrooms were so fresh and tasty, great coffee too. Great views over Oneroa beach, Sunday papers, cozy wood fire and our server Eugenie was lovely - we will be back!

High on a hill, framed by lush native bush, Peacock Sky offers fine wines and bubbles in a degustation style tasting with food pairings, casual gourmet dining in Le Cote de la Colline restaurant, and a nature trail. Open Spring/Autumn Thurs-Sun 11 am unti
Our wine tasting included little samples from the restaurant (Cote de la Colline) followed by high tea in the restaurant. Hanna, our guide through the tasting, was excellent and I was able to practice a little of my Swedish with her. The chef/owner will provide a copy of her recipes (except one) and I took advantage and have since prepared an awesome Malaysian Curry soup. It was one of the pairings with the wine tasiting.Over all it was a terrific experience. Beautiful winery, great views and fine food.

Mudbrick is world-renowned for its superb restaurant and award-winning wines. With its spectacular sea views, French potager gardens and hand-hewn mud-brick buildings, the setting is "A must-see when visiting Auckland" (New York Times).
Just a lovely lunch. We decided on the degustation menu for a treat and were not disappointed. The food was superb, interesting , local and light. I have been converted to pork belly , the beetroot Kostas, were delightful. This is absolute fine dining and I encourage to take your time to savour all the delicate flavours. We were still going 3 hours later. The service was perfect: polite, knowledgeable and warm. We scored a pearler of a spring day. We came by Sea link ferry because we did not know better, their is the local one much closer .Thank you for a terrific lunch . When eating at The Shed, my husband and I remarked that the best way to nail a casual dining experience is to really nail the food. The space is charming, the service is impeccable but low key, and the food is fabulous.
