We are very fortunate to have private access into the Wild Horse Conservation Easement, situated on secluded land our family donated for additional habitat area for the Colonial Spanish Mustangs. We are the non-profit organization that manages the herd of wild Colonial Spanish Mustangs on the northern beaches of Currituck County. Our mission is: To protect, conserve, and responsibly manage the herd of wild Colonial Spanish Mustangs roaming freely on the northernmost Currituck Outer Banks, and to promote the continued preservation of this land as a permanent sanctuary for horses designated as the State Horse and defined as a cultural treasure by the state of North Carolina.

Air Boat tours start at 1hr at $60pp, $85 for 1.5hr or $100pp for 2hr, Tours cover between 18-27 miles & make several stops along the way including sand bars & private islands depending on which you choose, 1/2 day & Full day charters are available upon request where multiple areas & activities can be seen & done. Spend the day exploring the OBX that few get to see. Our Guided 2hr SUP tours $65pp for 2hrs & 3hrs are $90pp & include lessons. All TOURS are booked by appointment to ensure a personal & unique experience. We run from the Nagshead/Manteo at the Washington Baum Boat landing. Amazed by the beauty of these fragile barrier islands, Ghost Crab Quest is committed to sharing and exploring its wonders day and night. While catching the mighty Atlantic Ghost Crab (Ocypode quadrata) is our main attraction, we also offer Scavenger Hunt Packages, custom birding tours and entry level astronomy course where we come to you!

Charter service on our 56' passenger vessel from Hatteras, NC. Walk-around layout with two decks. We do not run "headboat" trips but instead specialize in charters. We are licensed to carry up to 49 passengers, but we generally run charters for 7 to 20 passengers. We offer both nearshore half day charters and full day offshore charters to the Gulf Stream. We are also available for cruises of shorter duration. We also offer about 40 pelagic birding trips a year. Rates for half days for start at $750- 10 people- additional passengers add $50 each. Full days start at $1600- 8 people- add $100 each for additional passengers. Cruise rates depend on duration. Pelagic birding trips are $169/person for scheduled trips.
