El Nilo Pance was a nice and quick escape from the city. This is a private section of Rio Pance so it was very peaceful. It came with great food and the optional tour of the coffee making process was more informative than expected.

The reserve sits on a mountain that was once a coffee plantation. The entire mountain has been transformed into a 2 hour nature walk among waterfalls, lovely ponds, native flora and fauna and spectacular views. The path is expertly designed so it snakes up a serpent like winding among lush greenery and exotic native bushes, trees, and flowers. Bamboo hand rails and well maintained steps are strategically place to help with the really steep parts. There are two historical structures along the way: a coffee been receiving station and a caretakers cottage at the peak. Every view is a photo stop! The hike ends with a delightful butterfly enclosure housing 100's of butterfly and more water effects and an restaurant quietly perfect sett among more waterfalls and lush exotic greenery. We had a fruit and herb tea like nothing we had ever had before. Wonderful!
