Longest bike path in Canada. Nice walk along the river with plenty to see: wildlife watching, like pelicans and Canadian geese, full of monuments and historic buildings, has outdoor playground and recreational gym facilities and kayak rental, tennis courts and plenty of cafes, galleries and shops with outdoor sitting to enjoy the Meewasin masterpiece landscaping that makes it pleasant for the eye at any time of the year. If you want to visit one of the most important ecosystems in perfect balance than this is a must. Stop, listen, observe, decompress and learn about how each species of bird, animal, insect, fish, and plant life all link together, each one depending on the other. Respect this place. Leave no foot print behind. Take this area and then magnify it to a global scale and you will know why we have to protect this planet we call home. If you are lucky to meet Carrie who lives and work there, you'll will receive an education that you'll carry with you for along time after you leave.

We have been here twice last summer and it was very much worth it. This is a great place to hike up to Grey Owl's cabin, take a dive in the beautiful lakes, have a bbq close by the water or enjoy the sweeping views this area has to offer. We saw a lot of wildlife, even an arctic fox in summer coat. There are trails and roads, but one can discover the true wilderness by going off the paths. Take bearspray and a backpack with gear. Incredible experience!!

Moose Mountain Provincial Park

We stopped here for two nights on a trip to the west coast. We are a family of four in a 27' travel trailer. We were in site 101, which was private and shaded with ample room for our trailer and truck. We were pleased to be in a full service site with sewer, water and electrical! What a treat! We used the beach, hiking trails, the convenience store, the golf course and visited the visitors centre while we camped. We were also in a close proximity to friends in SK, who arranged to visit us for the day. We enjoyed their company at the beach and hosted a bbq at our site as well. The Kenosee Superslides were not open after a management switch while we were there, which was disappointing for sure. We also didn't have time to take advantage of the mini golf or go kart track. There was also some kind of market on the side of the road, as we were arriving on our first day. We would have loved to explore the area more. We saw deer (adult and a very new fawn) steps from our campsite. This is a beautiful park and lake that we feel we need to return to in order to enjoy it to the fullest.
