Nice circular walk around the nature reserve, very peaceful and scenic. Apparently there are beavers but we didn’t see them, did see lots of lizards though. Stone viewing tower at lakeside gives a nice view of lake.

We turned off our tour of the Chartreuse mountains to have a quick look at this and ended up staying for a couple of hours. It’s a beautiful place to just chill out and have a picnic but the walk up to the waterfall is well worth it, although have to admit it made us puff a bit in the 30 plus heat! There’s a restaurant and toilets there too. You have to pay 3.50 euros to drive in but it’s only per car so good value really and well worth it. Great place for couples and families with small kids as there’s a shallow river they can play in. Highly recommended.
