2nd visit on my adulthood life :) the park is huge, a great place for children and adult to interact with the different kinds of animal. Be careful with the temptation to feed the animals with the carrot (sold on the roadside on the way to the park by the local resident) as the activity is actually prohibited by the park. However when you decide to sneak the snacks for the animals, prepare yourself to be surrounded by the heard of different animals. They are waiting for their snacks and are very persistent on getting it, :D. A lot of other activities, playgrounds, shows, and event a separate whole area for the Giant Panda couple. 1 day might not be enough to cover all of the attraction.

Our tour guide Epoy (krakatoatour) was amazing. He was funny and kept the whole tour interesting. He went into the rim to get good pictures of crater for me asking me to stay back. The driver iwan went out of his way to drop us to the harbor in Carita beach and making sure everything was smooth. Highly recommended!! for KrakatoaTour

Din expect there is 300m muddy, slippery, rocky and dark hike. And I brought my 7yo boy with me! Whole hike is tough and hard, but it is so worthy! We made it to the end and come back! Its beautiful! And u will see the light only when u are lucky enough! Worth a try, remember to wear slippers, sport attire and prepare a head torch if you may, It is really useful. Extra clothes and pants too, u will need it after the hike.

Posong Area is like Grand Park. The view is so hard breathing, so spectaculer with the mountain, beautiful sky, fresh air, the weather is so cold, i love it.

Ciletuh Geopark is full of amazing, huge waterfalls and stunning scenery. It's a 6 hour drive from Jakarta but you feel like you have entered an entirely different world. The air is clean, the hills are impressive and covered in dense foliage and there is good bird life throughout the region. Some of the waterfalls can be visited by just a short walk from your car while others offer 30-40 minute hikes for the more adventurous and fit. It's best to organize a local driver who knows the road conditions and where everything is to make sure you can make the most of your stay. We stayed at Ciletuh Hills which is a brand new resort right next to Curug Sodong and Cikanteh two of the finest waterfalls in the park and it has a few villa's with amazing views, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and high quality air condition. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a base to explore the park. They also organize very reasonably priced "Safari Tours" to the main attractions in the park using high clearance vehicles that will safely get you to any of the parks many destinations. This place is one of the few remaining true paradises in West Java. If you plan a visit avoid the weekend or long weekends if possible or else you might encounter crowds escaping Jakarta. We went mid week and had most of the waterfalls completely to ourselves or with maybe one other group.

It seemed that it was popular in locals. There were snack bars inside and you can stay until night for the view.
