Teatown Lake Reservation's mission is to inspire our community to lifelong environmental stewardship. We realize our mission through environmental education, stewardship of Teatown's preserve, and regional conservation of the Hudson Hills and Highlands. At the center of all our endeavors is teamwork and partnership, because nature conservation and environmental health are possible only when people and their communities work together for the common good. The Teatown team is made of our members, donors, volunteers, board, staff and program participants. Our successes are only possible because of their hard work and dedication to our mission. In addition, we seek collaborations with other organizations and businesses who share our vision.
One of my favorite local places with a nice trail around the lake or more varied trails through the woods.

Brinton Brook Sanctuary is Saw Mill River Audubon's largest sanctuary, covering 156 acres and offering over three miles of hiking trails. The entrance road to Brinton Brook Sanctuary is marked with a sign and located off Route 9A in the Town of Cortlandt, New York, just north of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson. The trails of Brinton Brook Sanctuary connect to the Highland Trail, part of the Croton-on-Hudson village trail system, and overlook the Hudson River

What an amazing experience our visit to Noah's Park was! Since we were a bit early, we walked around the amazing property and then Chris brought us inside and introduced us to some amazing and adorable animals - we were able to actually hold most of them! We were even able to hold two baby mamosets that were just born in May!! What a treat! The place is pristine and so fascinating! We then got a tour of the outside animals - miniature horses, llamas, a porcupine and an adorable donkey - just a few of the residents! All in all, a fabulous and very memorable experience. I would highly recommend Noah's Park for all ages!!!

Under the leadership of the New York State Education Department, this museum and research center preserves New York State's artistic, social, historical and environmental legacies through such exhibits as "Native Peoples of New York," "The Cohoes Mastodont" and "Black Capital: Harlem in the 20s."
We always enjoy visiting the NY State Museum, from the vast selection of exhibits, children’s play/ learning room, cafe & the top floor carousel, there is always more than enough to see & do to capture the interest & attention of my young son & his mom too! We highly recommend visiting here!

One of the most endangered regions in the Northeastern United Sates contains almost 6,000 acres of scenic and dramatic landscape rooted in glacial history.
The Pine Bush has great trails through all the preserves. Scenery is great! Perfect for a social distancing hike!

My girlfriend and I visited the sanctuary today and we had a great time. Our guide, Kaden did a tremendous job of bringing us around the farm to meet all the animals, describe their various situations and give us information about the different species. It's really a terrific way to spend a few hours, get some fresh air and learn a few things. On a side note, I'd like to address comments in some of the reviews I've read about so called " vegan lectures." We experienced no such thing. What we did learn is that all these animals, big and small have feelings, quirks and characteristics much the same as people. If that's something you can't handle for some reason? Your problem. Anyway, fantastic day! Thanks CAS!
