a beautiful beach, food, and snorkel spot, but be warned about the boat trip cost. against my wifes better judgement call, i paid what i thought was fair, 300 pesos for two round trip. we enjoyed the trip so much, we promised our server and the nearby masseuse that we would return the next day ...when we did, i found another window offering trips for 80 pesos...live and learn, but the beach is great, once you land at the dock (a ten minute mellow cruise across the bay) you are greeted by a sort of gauntlet of hosts ranging from food, drink, and snorkel gear, to tourist guides , masseurs, and trinket sales persons. we tried a couple spots on for size, and settled at the end of the beach. i cant remember the name, but it is the place with (rocko) the old pit bull. hes a sweetie with back legs that dont work, if that helps you find it. its also the last one in the line. great service, great drinks, and even some great advice on which way to go to snorkel and get the most out of snorkel time, while my wife got her massage.

Ayotlcalli Rescue and Conservation Center

Reviewed By ellenn191 - Toronto, Canada

Learn about sea turtles and help save these endangered animals? This operator is the real one!! It is located on playa Blanca between Barra de Potosí and Zihuatanejo, near the airport. It is a short taxi ride from Zihuatanejo. Depending on when you go, you may be able to release hatchlings on the beach and watch them as they go to the ocean to begin life. Call ahead to ask what time the hatchlings will be released (+52 755 559 0441) The owner runs this non profit organizations and only asks for donations to help her pay for government licenses and other red tape (but the government does not help her, just uses her data and requires licenses). Great for kids and adults. Do NOT pay other operators.

An absolutely beautiful, clean, coco sand beach, excellent for long walks in the morning or early evening, some good waves, super warm water temperature in November, baby turtles were hatching, and mama turtles were laying eggs at night while we were there early November.

Our package included transportation from and to our Resort water Taxi to and from Ixtapa island our snorkeling gear 1hr guided tour around the reef. We were able to snorkel on our own as well. It was moderate activity. Lunch and a beverage water beer or soda was included in our package price. It was a great day friendly tour guide snd snorkel guide. The food at Lili's restaurant was amazing. We were sble to see so many types of fish feeding on the coral reef. The tour was 5hrs in total. Picked up at 9:30am and dropped off by 4pm. We were on Ixtapa island fm 10am-3pm. It was good value.

like vast, it stretches for miles and miles and can you say uncrowded, oh my goodness, not a soul in sight and even if there were, there's more than enough room for all so picturesque, the sparkly ocean at its side, with mountains and hills its backdrop remarkably unspoilt in its pristine coastal location its golden fine sands make it perfect for walking and running (just don't cross it in the afternoon!) with great caution advised - the crashing waves at its shoreline demand respect make it spectacular and magnificent all the same the perfect place to lose yourself and just breathe grateful to experience such wondrous beauty!!
