Yokohama is easily accessible from Tokyo, but there’s enough to see and do here that it’s worth more than a day trip. Visit Minato Marai 21, a popular, modern neighborhood with great shopping and tons of restaurant options. TripAdvisor travelers also recommend stopping at Big Wharf (Osanbashi Pier), a uniquely shaped pier with spectacular views.

Me and my family went to Negishi Shinrin park during sakura season. The park was surrounded by these beautiful sakura trees. We brought our own food and had a picnic there. There are also vendo machine and food shops nearby. There was also a playground in the area which my kids really enjoyed. Very good and relaxing view from the top of the hill. Nice place to have walk or jog specially in the early morning. One interesting fact is that this was once a horse race track. On some Sundays, there are horse and pony ride with a minimal fee. Please try to visit and I am sure you will have a relaxing time. Imagine green all around you!!!

It’s bit far to reach from Central Yokohama area but it’s still worth while going there to explore Zoorasia. Elephants welcome visitors entering from the main gate! It offers more than we expected and we ended up not seeing everything. Especially if you are keen to get your kids experience with small animals, it is a must to get there early as spots get filled up quickly!

The park was much more than we expected especially since it was FREE. It had lion, tiger, giraffes, bears, a panda, and much more.

There's a nice park and big ferris wheel; walk a little further and you'll be in a nice comfy park with lots of trees; you'll also get a good view of the bay and enjoy the sea breeze. There's also a big exhibition centre that hosts many events.

We turned left from the Osanbashi Cruise Terminal and walked through the beautiful flower gardens in Yamashita Park. It took about half an hour. We followed the sign for Harbour View Park and climbed many steps to the park. It was windy but there were great views of the harbour and again many beautiful spring flowers. Bed upon bed of them. It was definitely worth the climb.
