In the Muslim religion, Muhammad received his first revelation from God on this mountain.
A nice walk with my husband and child, great views all the way up, encountering many stalls and gift shops from start to finish and, once you reach the top of Jabal Noor you see the cave of Hira - limited in size and space with a nice view of Mecca and the sight of the new clock tower - once able to see the Kaaba from there but now with the new construction and buildings not possible, its nice view to visit night time before fajr.

A very nostalgic place to visit. You can feel the greatness of the battle of Uhud. Also of the martyrs buried there. Also boasts a lovely flea market with the best dates available at very good prices. We enjoyed the fresh dates on sale . A must see site for all hajees.

If you are a nature/scenery lover then this is one place you simply MUST visit if you're ever in Saudi Arabia and more specifically, in the city of Abha. The views from here were absolutely breathtaking. You feel like you are literally in the clouds and the air was so fresh and pure. I would strongly recommend visiting this park. You could end up doing a lot of walking here so make sure you wear some comfortable footwear! P.S I would also recommend you visit in the Spring/Summer and NOT in the Winter as I did because when I went, it was like a scene from a horror movie with the quietness and the fog LOL.

Must visit place in KSA. Even though its quite long drive from Taif it is worth to visit this wonderful site. 250kms drive from Taif city. Ideal time to visit this site early morning or evening after 3pm. During day time exploring the site will be little difficult. Its kind of adventure trip. take more water bottles if planning to explore the site. One of must visit place in KSA bucket list done.

This is very nice and well managed place. Temperature inside is cold even in summers. You can take a lot of photos and can enjoy walk inside caves. They have a nice coffee shop, a restaurant and a souvenir shop. The way to mountain passes through the date farms which is very scenic as well. All in all nice place for a day trip.

Damn! I would have never thought I'd see a dam in Saudi Arabia lol! This was a beautiful place with some very nice views and I am glad I took the time out to go visit. It's probably one of the highlights of Abha and definitely worth seeing if you haven't yet. Very quiet and peaceful place.
