The highlight of this beach area is the Sandridge Lookout Located only 800m along the gravel path that is Dockside Rd extending out into Hobson Bay (being the northern most part of Port Phillip Bay), this elevated structure lookout provids panoramic views back to the beach, over to the city's western face and back over the elegant curve and climb of the Westgate Bridge A great place for cyclists to visit or for beach goers wanting a stroll. A little known hidden (but quite obviously visible) gem.

Melbourne has its very own pink lake which comes to full bloom in summer and the environment is right. Note that it can smell but still worthwhile for the surreal colour :)
