Step to the beat of wafting flamenco music as you wander the downtown River Walk before sampling as much chili (San Antonio’s signature dish) as your taste buds will allow. A visit to the Alamo is an absolute must, as is taking in a show at the ornate Majestic Theatre. San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is dotted with 18th-century buildings and features, making for an enriching excursion.

Nice park, There are several trails. I like the natural trails. You can take your dog to this park. It's very quiet and pieceful once you go out to some of the longer trails.

We live in Houston and love hiking. The park offers all levels of hikes in a beautiful setting just minutes from La Cantera Resort. There is a great restroom facility and a large parking area. There is knoll with tables for picnicking. There is even some paved trail so everyone can participate.

This park just outside San Antonio is a little more than 8,600 acres.
A wonderful location for hiking. The trails are well maintained and there are way hikes and hard holes, I recommend you visit here. The $6 entry fee is a bargain.

This place is awesome. We had so much fun, and spent hours there. All the staff was super nice. Especially Edward and Bridgette. They were both very informative, and knowledgeable on the animals. They both went above and beyond to make our experience even better. Same with the trainers at the Lemur enclosure. Everyone was nice and helpful. The whole family enjoyed our visit. It was a unique experience. You can buy tokens to feed the animals like kangaroos, ostriches, birds, lemurs, stingrays, the octopus, and many more. Awesome time, and experience. The place looks questionable when you pull up, but the place is huge. Give it a chance, you won’t regret it.

Small little park near the medical center. There is a walking trial that takes you around the pond at the park. The pond does have fish in it, although I'm not sure what kind they are. The biggest we saw was probably around 8 inches. We also spotted 9 turtles there in the water. Several different duck families at the pond. There are about 7 picnic tables scattered about in the park. The entire area is covered with plenty of shade trees. We visited the park this past Saturday when the temperature was 98 degrees, but the shade from the trees made it pretty comfortable. Usually we throw our old bread pieces in the freezer and wait till we have about 10 slices and we take them out there to feed the fish, turtles and ducks. None of us were bit by any mosquitoes on our trip there. This was our 5th time coming to Denman Estate Park.

This is close (walking distance) from family in SA so we make daily visits to the trail when we in the area. A paved trail - wheelchair accessible - and a longer and somewhat more challenging trail are both interesting.
