Amazing national park, totally worth the bad road that you have to take to get there, great views from Grand Tsingy, you are literally climbing to the top, passing caves, the hike itself is fun, using ferrata. Small Tsingy are also nice, it is possible to do both in one day.

The brilliant crew of Lakanabe 4 boat (owned by La Pirogue hotel) is a true experience. In low water we needed 7 crew member to motor our boat 2,5 days through o a true untouched Madagascar. We bought fish from the villagers and our chef cooked unbelievable great dishes on a very simple stove. In the evening campfire and sing along (if you like). A true Madagasi experience.

We went on a 1 hr 30 minute ride on a Pirogue boat down the Manambolo River. Along the way, we stopped at a couple of caves. You don't really need a torch because the caves don't go very deep. We went with the same guide for this and the Small and Big Tsingy. We tipped our Pirogue person 10000 Ar. I thought the caves were just OK but I did actually enjoy the Pirogue boat down the river. I thought that was very enjoyable.

Ankarafantsika is a must when you visit Madagascar, if you travel to the town of Mahajanga ( Majunga )you can’t miss it , its situated ca 100 km before. . The park occupies about 135,000 hectares and consists of patches of thick dry tropical forest scrub and sandy eroded rock areas There are a number of lakes and the park is criss-crossed by tracks and paths One day its far to little to explore Ankarafantsika, I myself had possibility to stay only two days. There is possibility to overnight in Park’s bungalows. Thanks to experienced guide Ndrema I had possibility to discover the richness of flora and fauna of Madagascar. Ankarafantsika its genuine Madagascar you have to see it.

You need to take a taxi from Majunga, and then walk around the circus. It is very impressive once you're in the centre ogf the circus. Try to get an explanation on what not to do, since it is a sacred place for the locals and there is a worship place, so though it's hard to get lost you have to be respectful.
