Safe beach, huge range of bars, restaurants, shops (good prices too - bought a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses that were cheaper than the internet price!) Parking is free, safe and there's plenty of it. Great spot for a trip - and remember to fit in AQWA! ????

Mullaloo Beach

Reviewed By 1FunAussie - Perth, Australia

We chose where to live based on this beach and the local community! Nice wide beaches with pure white sand. Beautifully coloured water and skies. Nice to catch a sunset down there too. So good for the soul! Kids love the shallow water which extends out and we all love a walk or run up and down the beach. On calm days at low tide there are rockpools at the north end worth exploring and you can get all the way to Ocean Reef marina at the right times. Community vibe in Mullaloo is the best and most will say a friendly hello. We are also lucky to have nice restaurants, bar and cafes plus the gorgeous greenscape extending along south Mullaloo with play equipment, a basketball ring, BBQs and shelters. Love this beach.

Mawson Park

Reviewed By Aussie252 - Perth, Australia

Visited with my daughter and young grand children mid week. It’s very popular with young mums & kids. The playground is one of the best equipped I have visited with various levels of challenge. Well layed out and maintained. Tables and shelter available, ideal for picnic or family gathering. It’s set in the middle of the park so no fear of kids near roads. Plenty of parking. The lake is a lovely bonus. It’s nicely landscaped and fenced off. Relaxing to watch the birds. Lots of ducks and swans. The ducks are quite cheeky and happy to wander through the playground dodging the delighted toddlers trying to pat them. Lots of shady trees and surrounding paths ideal for walking, jogging or biking. Bring kids bikes. My grandson entertained himself for ages riding to the top of a path on a slope and cruising down then exploring by cycling around the lake over a small bridge. Got my steps up too!

Whether walking or cycling around the northern end of the park, this is a natural environment, not crowded, many trees and bush, good sized lake. This part is about 5kms around so an easy walk or several laps, especially for cycling. The remainder of the park beckons.
