Whilst visiting family we decided to go and enjoy watching and experiencing the magnificent birds on display. The fact that it is a conservation sanctuary was pleasing to discover. Long may it stay open. All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Great educational trip for children and adults alike.

Hillfield Gardens are situated on London Road in Gloucester, and would be easy to miss. They are beautiful gardens which hold some monuments from Gloucester’s rich history....the kings board being one of them. I walk past these Gardens on my way to and from work and visit quite frequently. Considering they are on an a very busy road, it’s a haven of peace and a nice area of nature so close to the city.

We sailed along from Gloucester docks to Sal Junction on our cruise. What a lovely canal, we saw lots of birds including quite a few kingfishers. So picturesque countryside. It was a wonderful trip and would love to do it again.

Two-hundred and fifty acres of open countryside with viewpoint, pleasant walks and way-marked nature trails that cover the hill. A traditional orchard has been revived and replanted (where appropriate). The summit hosts fabulous views of the Severn Bridge to the South, the Malvern Hills to the North and the Black Mountains to the West. A terrific walking landscape and enjoyable for animal lovers, the Robinswood Hill is also habitat for many creatures, such as badgers, foxes and birds including Red Kites amongst others. - Ample free parking - Toilets - Café (Summer 2016 Opening Hours: 7-days a week 8am-6pm) - Picnic Benches & BBQ Stands (free, no booking required) Regular events provided by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust - see their website for further details. Open all year. Car park is open 8am until dusk. Summer time gates will close at 9pm. Please check entrance gate which will display closing time). The Hill is accessible 24 hours a day even when the car park and visitor centre are shut.
Lots of intrigujng wood carvings, fabulous slide and tons of paths to slither around, bushes to hide in and paths to bound about on. The dogs love it too. After rain make sure you are wearing boots as the paths get really muddy and slidey.

The second longest bore in the world - we went late at night (well, it was dark) and waited and watched from the Severn bore pub, who patiently coped with everyone else doing the same thing. Everyone was excited, and chatting - very friendly atmosphere, and the pub thoughtfully had lights shining on the river. Three brave souls, two on kayak and one on a surfboard were on the water. It was hard to see the bore, but we certainly heard it, and the rise in water after it had passed. An excellent experience. We went back the next morning, and went to Newnham, where the river is wider, but obviously in daylight could watch the bore and the surfers - amazing experience.

Children (6 and 8) had first ever ski lesson with Ian last week. They were really nervous to begin with and didn't even want to go in but Ian was brilliant and gave them so much confidence. I've rarely seen them grin so much. They are desperate to go again. He balanced their knowledge and progression with fun, games and interest. Couldn't ask for more. OK - it's not a sparkling slope but we had a great time. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. There were some fabulous skiers on the slope at the time from of a ski team which inspired my two no end. We'll definitely go back. They'll still teach when it's raining so it's all about the kit.

Great bike bark with well maintained trails, despite the awful weather for the previous 3 or so weeks which closed other bike parks. Really helpful and friendly driver on the brilliantly efficient uplift. We had a great day. Highly recommended.
