The political, scientific, historical, architectural and business center of Russia, Moscow displays the country's contrasts at their most extreme. The ancient and modern are juxtaposed side by side in this city of 10 million. Catch a metro from one of the ornate stations to see Red Square, the Kremlin, the nine domes of St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Mausoleum, the KGB Museum and other symbols of Moscow's great and terrible past, then lighten up and shop Boulevard Ring or people watch in Pushkin Square.

Hiking/cycling eco-trail from Moscow to Sergiev Posad (120 km). The footpath to the Trinity Lavra of St.Sergius is the successor to the historic road to the Venerable Sergius of Radonezh, which was traveled by countless pilgrims since the monastery was founded.

A popular place to stroll or unwind in a cafe, this chain of ten boulevards actually forms a horseshoe, and provides a glimpse of old Moscow in the midst of the bustling, modern city.

This green space in central Moscow is great for people-watching and an ideal spot for some rest and relaxation. The park’s pond also serves as an ice rink in the winter and is home to swans in the summer.
A delight on a cool summer evening. This is a popular, pleasant, walkable neighborhood near many theaters, so you’ll be seeing more Muscovites and not so many tourists. A lot of happy people enjoying the park, but you can spot the fans of Bulgakov’s novel by their smiles and mischievous expression! There was even someone cosplaying a character from the novel and there’s a Cafe Margarita across the street—packed full on the night I passed by.

Just to stroll in the sad, enjoy the views! Superb location, by Kremlin's wall. Memorial & eternal fire for fallen soldiers is very moving, beautiful flowers, trees, bushes. Well maintained. All & all: highly recommend!

This small pleasant park is home to three theaters and a small concert hall. Each summer it hosts international Jazz festival.
Came here with our 7 month old. He is still a tad young to really enjoy the playground, but we still had so much fun on the things he could partake in. Ate lunch at a restaurant, had some Russian ponchiki, walked around. It’s beautiful and peaceful, I just wish we got to see a show of some kind that they have here.
