The City of Palms is located in Southwestern Florida on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River. Most visitors go to Fort Myers for the deep-sea fishing, the golf courses and the famous white sand beaches and islands that line the Gulf Coast. A renovation of the city's downtown waterfront promises new restaurants, clubs, shops and galleries. Attractions include the winter estates of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, as well as nearby Naples and the islands of Sanibel and Captiva.

Miss Potter's Place is fun, educational and beautiful! There are over 100 edible fruit, nut & spice trees, vegetables & herbs, edible flowers and a butterfly garden. Supporting the many plants are bunnies, free range chickens (that let you cuddle & pet them!), bee hives and an earthworm commune. It is an example of how productive and beautiful a subtropical backyard garden can be! The garden and nursery are open by appointment, please call or text to set up a time to visit!

We are a Boutique & Wine/Beer/Bubbles Bar. We offer Home Furnishings (antiques & new), Apothecary, Jewelry, and Garden. Also, we have a outdoor garden perfect for a glass of wine! Come and check it out!
From the moment you walk in you are filled with a sense of "this place is special"!!! I have been there quite a few times and consider it one of my getaways to find unique items, amazing cocktails, and the owners are the cherry on top! The back of Remedies is where the magic all comes together. It's truly secret garden-esque. The candles, the plants, the statues, it's all quite intoxicating! But truly what sets this gem apart are the owners. The owners have taken so much time to curate unique items and create this atmosphere. This is what sets it apart, in my opinion. You feel it in every inch of this beautiful establishment! Tyna and Anthony make you feel at home and truly care for every single person that walks into their "baby"! REMEDIES PARLOR is a must see!!!!!

Hidden in Fort Myers' Downtown is the little known Park of Palms. In this park are many different types of palm trees each with a plaque on a stand with both the latin and common names. The paths through the park are winding with old-fashioned street lamps and benches. It's a hidden gem! Located across from the City of Fort Myers' Yacht Basin. Very peaceful.

The park is open and we have been walking through it all winter. There is a picnic area and playground with views of the Caloosahatchee; a community center building; and a very long fishing pier that stretches out into the Caloosahatchee. The park is always kept very neat and clean by city workers. The only time there is a problem is the occasional Monday morning when you find beer bottles and trash on the fishing pier. We really like walking through here with all of the blooming plants and the amazing views of Downtown Fort Myers from the fishing pier. There are regular walkers who are in the park in the morning so you are usually not isolated. On Sunday mornings there is a religious service in the community center. The people are friendly but aren't wearing masks, so we just keep our distance. This is a nice place to walk to, but the sidewalk on Palm Beach Boulevard/First Street is only kept clean as far as the Oasis Condos (from the direction of Downtown). If you want to walk further to the east from the park on a main raod, it's kind of rough.

Look for the West Indian manatee.
Ever want to see a manatee in person and in their natural habitat? Then Manatee Park is a must stop location. Even if you are in the area for short period of time you should be able to view them here. We only had bout 30 minutes and saw several. The park has awesome nature trails that lead right down by the water. The manatee like to go here in the winter as the inland waters are warmer than the gulf. So this is an area they love and hang out in. So take a walk on the trails and enjoy the manatees. You can also see many different fish jumping in the waters while you walk If you are looking for a longer trip and up-close experience you can rent kayaks or paddle boards to view the manatee right below you. Highly recommend this option and when we are back in the area will for sure be doing this! It was awesome watching the people out on their paddle boards and having the manatee right next to them. You will have to pay to park but there is no actual entry fee. Then there is a nice little gift shop with bathrooms and manatee information. This shop is where you can set up your trip and rent the paddle boards and kayaks. The website is a must watch tool as well. They post if they are seeing manatees and if it is a good time to visit

Historian led tours are also offered in German on select days. Group tours can be arranged in advance.
Very scenic area and gardens with two beautiful homes that provide a glimpse into American history. My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing walk through the gardens and learned about two of the very influential business men and their families. The museum on site was also very educational. Definitely a excellent visit in the Fort Myers area.

Lakes Park encompasses nearly 300 acres of beautiful nature trails, lakes and gardens. Two playgrounds and water parks, a miniature train ride and railroad museum, bikes and watercraft available for rental, food concession, fitness trail and lots of picnicking areas. Every year over a million people enjoy Lakes Park's natural beauty for exercise and family recreation.
We go to Lakes Park quite often. It’s a beautiful park to that offers many opportunities to walk, bike ride, fish, picnic, splash pad for kids, rent a surrey, rent a boat or just enjoy nature. There are various gardens, open fields, sand volleyball courts. It is very clean and well kept. The lakes have a huge boardwalk that crosses over and has beautiful fountains. It normally has a little children’s train and merry go round but those are currently not running due to the pandemic. There is plenty of parking ($). Offers farmers market on Wednesday.
