We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theater, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.

A unique place near downtown Toronto to experience nature, and one of the best places for bird-watching in the city, with more than 300 recorded species. Use the menu below to find details on visiting the park, trails, events, festival, programs, restoration, and research.
Took a cab from downtown with my binoculars (as a new recruit to birdwatching). Loved it - views amazing. Despite my infancy with regards to birdwatching - successfully identified 10 new species (having traveled from England). A special thank you to Mike - the ranger who was incredibly helpful. I hope I can come back in the summer when I suspect the place is alive with wildlife.

We wanted a place to relax a little after spending a lot of the day in the city. Someone recommended Woodbine so we gave it a try. It was much larger than I expected and had a very nice vast beach area with places to play volleyball, a boardwalk to walk on, huge beach area and a really nice wooded area to walk through. There is even a Tim Hortons next to the parking lot in case you get hungry. We had a very enjoyable time just relaxing and strolling through the park and watching the scenery change as we went.

Whether you come from the lake to Queen Street or Queen Street tio the Lakeshore trails you will be embraced by the park, the trees, the bandshell and ball park. Indeed it is the core of the Beach animation for people use. Play Grounds, natural restoration and memorial all a part.

This is a nice beach with a long boardwalk/bike/walking path. It has plenty of sand area, an adjacent beach house / town area, and picturesque views of the lake. Though I walked this during the winter, I can tell it would be a great summer spot. There are also some food places very close to the beach area for people who want to get a snack and bring it back to the blanket. And an ice cream place at one spot....awesome !
