It is a nice excursion place for the Family. There is a nice path from Normafa to Janoshegy / Elisabeth look-out tower. You could choose concrete or small-pebble road / path. (It is around 2,5 km in the forest. It is not a problem if you have a baby carriage.) There is a nice playground for the babies or kids. You could try the Hungarian "retes" and "langos" fast foods. The forest path is in good condition and clean. The playground is in good condition and clean. The forest and the city panorama view is very nice. There is not so many parking places so better to use the public transport for travelling.

Quiet walkways, flower gardens, romantic ruins and century-old trees make up this popular recreation spot located in the heart of Budapest.
Great place to visit and relax for a couple of hours there are all sorts of bikes for hire to cruise around the island and a couple of interesting sites including a musical fountain that plays every hour.

We took a boat tour up and down the river from the Elizabeth Bridge to Margaret Island and back in early evening and very much enjoyed seeing Budapest on both sides of the river from a unique perspective and as night fell.

A wonderful day out. Great for kids and adults. Spotlessly clean , food good and reasonable prices for a pool- very honest staff- we lost a kindle and headphones there through our own fault, and had them returned after several days. In my m=ind much better than the other baths.,

We did the English tour which was phenomenal. Our guide was funny, kind, knowledgeable and very outgoing. Since it was an English speaking tour it was a small group so we were able to have closer conversations and ask more questions. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. There were some steep stairs and cramped quarters but it should be manageable (one of our group was about 6'4" and he managed.)

The monument at the center of the beautiful Heroes square depicts archangel Gabriel holding the Hungarian crown and the cross on top of a tall column. The column stands on a square pedestal surrounded by the leaders of the seven Magyar tribes. Around the monument is a peristyle with statues of Hungarian leaders and the square is surrounded by important historical buildings. Definitely worth a visit.
