Soak up the sun on the well-maintained beaches of Agadir, southern Morocco's most-visited city. Palm-lined boulevards and beachfront bars add a decidedly Western-resort feel, amplified by the large number of Europeans who flock here in the winter months. It’s all about laid-back relaxation in Agadir, so ride a camel, rent a beach buggy, check out the Suq al-Had market or take the 20-minute walk up to the ruins of the Agadir Kasbah for expansive city views if you’re taking a break from the beach.

A huge crocodile head marks the main entrance of the parc. An innovative concept and a unique project in Agadir, in the south of morocco. The farm within the Atlantic area contains more than 300 of Nil crocodiles (Crocodylus niloticus). The architecture and the design of the parc give the feeling to be in a forest, offering you the sight of a lot of unique trees and plants varieties.
We booked through the reception desk at the hotel, pick you up at 10am 20 euros per person. Bang on time, the minibus picked us up, a couple of further pickups and off for a 25 min ride to Crocoparc. Great entrance, we met our guide, just the 10 of us that were on the bus, very knowledgable guide about all aspects of the parc and in at least 3 languages. The tour went at a comfortable pace, would suit a wheelchair round the crocodile lakes, ponds with plants and frogs, demonstration of how papyrus was made, all fully explained. Past iguanas, cactus gardens, large tortoises, across a rope bridge if able, tiny monkeys, free henna tattoo, then it was feeding time, wow! Then the baby crocodiles, baby tortoises, snakes(python and anaconda) finally a cup of Moroccan tea and a few minutes to browse in the shop before getting back on the minibus to return to the hotel. All in all it took just over 3 hours door to door. Excellent value for money would recommend for all age groups.

This had to have been one of my dream stays on the Atlantic coast in Morocco. What an amazing spot! Especially in winter when the sun is still warm and the most incredible sunsets make this place absolutely magic! Highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing surf holiday or just as a get-away-from-it-all spot with a huge beach to take walks along or jog in the morning. Excellent little cafes and restaurants with delicious grilled fish, sweet nus-nus coffee and the characteristic laid back atmosphere of a seaside resort. Taghazout is most certainly a place to come back to!

This was a very pleasant place. We passed through on several occasions on our way to and from the promenade and inevitably paused for quite some time to see what the different creatures were up to. One morning, one of the keepers took the two us to feed the goats, a peacock and llama and took photos of us doing so. He didn’t seek a tip and was happy with a handshake and smile...before we gave him a small tip! There’s plenty of benches and shade there too which means it’s a good place to watch the world go by and to cool down. Popular with tourists and local families, particularly on weekends.
