Magnificent and symbolic memorial to the 645 crew members of HMAS Sydney II who are still on patrol. The memorial is among the best war memorial that we have seen anywhere we have visited over the years with the Wall of Remembrance, the Sanctuary, the Stele, the Pool of Remembrance and, perhaps the most poignant, the Waiting Woman Sculpture looking eternally to the sea for the return of her sailor. There were a lot of visitors, both young and adult, yet there was silence as if everybody recognised that they stood in a special place.

Robert is such a sweet bloke and runs one of the most unique attractions in Australia - he gives you a personal tour at the cost of a gold coin donation which goes to the heart foundation - definitely worth a look through

OMG - the ladies at this place were fantastic. We rolled into town after a very long journey exhausted and not really sure what Geraldton had to offer. In a matter of minutes, they were super helpful, had a fully inspired and even assisted us with booking tours so we didn't miss out. We quite fairly spent up big in their souvenirs section after this and what a fabulous time we had whlst staying in Geraldton... most of which I am sure we would not have experienced had we not stopped in to say hi and check this out.

Discover ancient landforms, Yamaji history and culture, and the region’s unique natural landscapes and marine environment. The archaeological riches from four Dutch shipwrecks - Batavia, Gilt Dragon, Zuytdorp, and Zeewijk, are revealed in the Shipwrecks Gallery. Visitors can join a guided highlights tour available daily at 11.30am. Located in the heart of the city and housed in the former Town Hall, the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery opened in 1984 as the first regional ‘A’ class venue in Western Australia and continues to be the premier visual arts institution in the Mid West. Recently fully upgraded and refurbished this wonderful community facility features exhibitions accessed from various sources.
We were surprised to find such a high quality and large gallery in Geraldton and thoroughly enjoyed our visit - it was excellent with someone on the door who knew the art works and could discuss them, a perfect catalogue and a wide variety of art works. We'd go again.

The Museum tells the story of Monsignor John Hawes as priest and Architect through interpretive panels, audio-visual presentations and artefacts. Come and learn about the extraordinary man behind the buildings! After visiting the Museum, you can book a guided tour through St Francis Xavier Cathedral. During September, the wildflower season in the Mid West, tours every day at 2:30pm, except Friday when its at 4:00pm.
The heritage centre is certainly worth a visit. It acknowledges the life and work of a talented Monsignor John Hawes both as a priest and as an architect. His architectural contribution to the area is remarkable. Called in by chance and glad that we did.

This gaol is worth the visit. There is no entry fee but you can donate if you wish. This is a grim reminder of what gaols should be like. The cells looked to be quite roomy until you realise that there were three to a cell. Quite a few of the cells had craft displays and were very good. A very informative
